Read Carefully

Have you ever heard of the Auction Listing Employment Agency. Also related to this company are the fake names of Emily Thomas and Jennifer Johnson. Most people begin hearing about these names through their email inbox. Ok, here is how it works, I know from personal experience and I'm almost embarrassed that I nearly fell for this scam. Although a few people have said that you can make money from this company, I highly doubt it, and they also have very misleading and spam-like emails. The people saying they made money are probably scammers who work for the company.

First, Work-At-Home-Recruiters www.workathomerecruiters.com sends an email saying how there are job openings available in your area. If you click on the add then it takes you to a page where you put in your first name and your zip code. After you type in your info, it takes you to another page with a ticking clock that says there are 3 position open in your area. (After testing this I noticed that no matter which zip code you put in there are always 3 positions available) Once you continue to go on there is a never-ending web-page describing what the job is, how much it pays, and how much it will cost you to join the program. I believe the reason so many people get hooked is because of two things. First, they offer a 90 day unconditional money back guarantee. People feel secure knowing they can get there money back at anytime. The second, is that we are facing tough economic times, and desperate people are trying anything to make extra money and they don't know where else to turn. People don't realize that 98% of all online jobs are a complete scam. The website http://www.workathomerecruiters.com/index2.php, goes on to tell you that you can make up to $195 per day if you strictly follow their advice and the advice of their personal coaches. Ok, by now most people would have hint that this is a scam, but honest, hardworking people looking to make an extra income might be lured in by the deceptive marketing techniques that these frauds employ. They use fake success stories and not to mention they completely lie about what it is that you will be doing if you join. They tell you that you will be listing auctions for ebay. Supposedly, the process only takes 3-4 minutes and you can make an average of $13 per listing that you do. They are very sneaky when it comes to the fake success stories as well. They also have a biography of Emily Thomas saying, "Emily went from barely making a living… on federal assistance… supporting 3 kids… living in a tiny two bedroom apartment… to living a celebrity lifestyle that most of us just dream about." Although they say this, it specifically states in the Terms and Conditions that Emily Thomas is a fake name that they made up. Most people don't read the Terms so they miss out on valuable information. On top of all these techniques and success stories they continually talk about how you won't have to deal with your "crappy boss" anymore. They tell you how amazing it is to make your own hours, and how easy it is to make $13 for every listing that you post. Basically they say that you are working for Fortune 500 companies who are selling their products on Ebay. All you have to do is post these listings for the company and they will pay you $13 on average for each listing. They tell you that you don't have to buy anything or sell anything. All you have to do is take a 10 session certification program and upon successful completion you can start your listings. You will have a list of companies who need auctions listed and you just have to choose the company out of thousands they say. After all this they finally make you an offer. They tell you that this program is well worth $500, but they will only charge you $197. Some people pay that, but some people can't afford it so they choose to leave. Oh, but wait, if you join now they will drop the price to a all-time low fee of only $97. Once, you accept and pay the fee, it all goes down down down. Remember your 10 session certification...uh yeah its based on how to buy and sell on Ebay. It tells you all about how to manage your Ebay business...you just realize you have been scammed. Not to mention they want you to buy and sell items for drop shipping from a company called DOBA, which is $40 a month whether your making money or not! Ok, so your freaking out, you call the customer support to get your money back ASAP! Yeah, yeah get your money back they gave you a 90 day guarntee right?...WRONG. When you call the number nobody will even answer. You think a company that just totally lied to you to get your card info is gonna give you your money back. You'll have a better chance of getting struck by lightning and bit by a shark in the same day...seriously. I've heard of people calling 30 times and staying on the line for up to 45 minutes and either never talking to someone or being hung up on. So be very careful when giving your card info out to people like this, and even people selling you A KIT TO POST LINKS ON GOOGLE. Google adsense is free and anyone trying to sell you a kit for it is just simply ripping you off. If you need more info please check out these sites.

  • People, please remember to never give out your credit card info if you even have the slightest hint that you are being scammed.
  • Always, Always, Always check your search engine for info on the people you are about to give your account info to. A 2 minute search could save you hundreds..even thousands!
  • If it sounds too good to be true, well then, it most likely is. Duhh
  • Always read the fine print that is usually located at the bottom of the page, such as, Contact, Terms and Conditions, Legal Disclaimers, and other very important info.

I really hate reading the horror stories of people being ripped off, and not to mention people's bank account info being sold to pirates from Africa. So please, be careful and follow your gut instinct, don't get wrapped up in how to make money "Quick and Easy." Making money takes hard work and determination most all of the time, so put on your thinking cap and get out there and find some revenue!

Sincerely Yours

Here is what they tell you you'll be doing, but it's a huge scam.

I don't believe that you can make money at home unless you own your business. A good rule of thumb is if you have to pay any money to make money, beware. Thanks for the advice. Great hub.

This scam goes a step farther. I got a call from some town south of Salt Lake City asking if I wanted to get extra coaching as a success story for their customer reviews. Iasked for the name of the person calling "Glen" the name of the company PMI; Professional Marketing International and a telephone number 1-800-860-8068. I didn't call back because I felt it was strange none of this information was revealed until I asked.

It doesn't surprise me. I just can't believe it is so easy for people to scam one another these days. Never give out your bank account # and if you have unauthorized charges to your Debit/Credit card then you should "HotCard" it ASAP and get a different one. Thank you for the comment and info.
