Are you meant to be a single woman?  Are you meant to be a single man?  You make the choice to be single or to have a partner.  The saying goes like this:  Seek and you will find.

If you are not out there seeking someone, then unless you are being searched for, you may not get found.  No one is meant to be single in the America society.  Marriages would not be sought after as legal entities and as relationship support if men and women were meant to be singe.  There would be no provisions for the two  to hook up if it was meant for men and women to live alone and separate from each other. 

Women and some men may be in need of belonging to someone and the need to be loved is a natural way to feel.  The majority of people do not  like to be alone or to feel lonely.  Everyone wants to be accepted by another person and the easiest way to be accepted is to be a part of a family.  The family structure, because of its tendency to be dysfunctional,causes a lot of people to seek the single status instead of getting married.  Problem in your family should not cause you to avoid marriage,  You may be an exception to family problems and able to sustain a lasting relationship with another person even if your mother or father did not quite make it.

Marriage may not be for all but marriages have proven as a great way to stay healthy if the other partner is not worrying you or making the relationship unbearable.  Recent reporting is that divorces are stressful and can cause sickness and unease.There is popular song that says One is a Lonely Number.  One is in fact a lonely number and that is why people are seeking to be together in a relationship.  That other person in your relationship can bring a smile to you face and can pick you up when you are feeling low.  Choosing the right person can also finish your sentences for you; some people do not like that aspect of a relationship but all it is showing is how close the two of you are in a relationship.

One woman revealed that she did not want to get married and would rather stay single because she did not want to get divorced.  Although the divorce rate is high, its presence as a possible outcome of marriage should not stall your decision to get married.  Marriage is a wonderful institution and believe it or not even in today's permissive society, people are still getting married.  Marriage  is still looked upon an a loving way to seal a relationship for longevity.
