On September 10, 2009 the NFL season officially begins. I don't know about anyone else, but I am excited.

This is the time of year when cities rally behind their homes teams. And you have some who root for their city's rivals (Boo!). The time when you see D Fence signs at literally every game. When out of shape men have no problem being shirtless and the multicolor face paint can be seen in every stadium.

The time with hail Mary's and hard hits. Yardage gained and yardage lost. The time when rookies show what they are made of and the vets are just living the dream.

The 2009 - 2010 football season is shaping up to be very entertaining especially with some of the most recent news that has paved the way toward this season's start.

Michael Vick gets a second chance in the NFL as a backup quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brett Favre comes out of retirement........AGAIN. This time he will be the quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings.

The Dallas Cowboy's unnecessarily large, vain and costly new stadium. Check out the "big screen" inside.

Tom Brady's return to the New England Patriots from injury.

Also this season the AFL (American Football League) will be celebrating its 50th anniversary, which is very admirable. It is said that the original AFL teams will actually wear their throwback jerseys from the 1960s.
