"Are You Ready For Some Football?"
62
Regular readers know I don't often watch sports on TV. I am a "jinx". When I watch teams I have any interest in they lose. . .every time!
I watched the Eagles play in a Super Bowl game for less than 15 minutes back in the 80s and they lost. As a student I went to only one Penn State football game and it was the only game they lost that season. I watched a little bit of a Stanley Cup game while still living in PA and the Philadelphia Flyers lost!
I refused to watch the Phillies last season and they won! You can't hire me to jinx the team you don't like though, guys. It only works on teams I care about, okay?
Nevertheless, just because I have to check game results online doesn't mean my sports fan readers should go without, right?
(Mind you, I've dated women who would make me go without until after the game. . .yeah, YOU don't score 'til they do. . .but, I digress. . .)
"Are you ready for some football?" -- Hank Williams Jr.
If you are then you need to take a look at www.ultimatefootballblog.com. This
is a site that is dedicated to football. It includes information about
(but not limited to) college football, the NFL and the NCAA playoffs.
It also contains links to articles on the Super Bowl as well as specific teams.
One
article I was viewing compares the NFC and AFC. The controversial
question asked here: “Is the NFC stronger than the AFC”? The anonymous
author believes not.
In
a comparatively brief piece the writer argues his point well enough. He
makes note of statistics concerning the strengths of such teams as the
Philadelphia Eagles, the Tennessee Titans
and the New England Patriots.
He concludes by stating that the AFC proved they are stronger because the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated “the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl”. Touchdown!
I hope this helped my football fan readers make it through some down time. Yes, I am not a big football fan but-hey-don't take any "offense".
My name is Phoenix and. . .that's the bottom line.
