Are All Dreams Possible When You Work For Them?

Are all dreams possible, if you work for them?
I find this to be a very interesting question. All of us have dreams. But are they always achievable, even if we work for them? In my opinion, all dreams are possible. Whether a person can actually make their dreams reality, is an entirely different issue.
For example, most of us have seen the TV show, American Idol. We would all agree that all of the individuals auditioning, dream of being famous performers. However, a large portion of the show is dedicated to broadcasting, to it's viewers, individuals who have absolutely no chance of becoming an actual contestant. Why do they have no chance? Simply because they lack the talent required to become a contestant. For these individuals, their dreams are not possible, despite the fact that they are working for their dreams.
What is my point? While I do agree that accomplishing ones dreams is possible, I also believe that one must be realistic. In other words, a person's dreams have to be within one's reach. One has to have the ability to meet their dreams. Otherwise one's dreams will always remain just that, dreams.
What Steps Will Help Me Realize My Dreams?
First of all, make a list of your dreams. Then prioritize them and set a deadline for when you want these dreams to become a realities. When doing this, keep in mind that you will need to be patient with yourself. Allow yourself plenty of time to accomplish your dreams. Remember to be realistic with yourself. Once you have completed your priority and deadline list make a "Vision Statement".
Now, go out and touch your dream! Let me give you some examples. Let's say you dream of owning a Mercedes Benz., go test drive one. If you dream of owning a large home, take a tour of a model home that you like.
Keep your dreams in front of you. Cut out pictures of whatever your dreams are. Put the pictures somewhere you will see them everyday.
Finally, never give up on yourself! Be patient with yourself. No matter how difficult it may seem, keep a positive attitude and always, always be working towards your dreams. Keep naysayers at bay. Do not let those closest to you step all over your garden. Your dreams are your personal garden. They are precious and should be treated as such. Each of your dreams are like flowers. If you do not water them then they will wilt and turn to dust. Your positive attitude is the water. The naysayers negativity is the hot dry sun that will wilt your dreams into dust. Water your dreams with a positive attitude and consistent hard work.

We can achieve what we set our mind to. However, many people confuse a real dream from their heart- something they really and truly desire - with false motivation like fame or fear.
A heart dream is far more achievable than other motivations. The first produces happiness. The others produce... nothing... after achievement, there remains emptiness, and other goals take their place.
Be honest with the heart. Pray about all things, including business, career and romance. God knows!

Great Hub Chad. I struggle with how to encourage my future child to dream big without giving the notion that hard work equals entitlement.
THANKS!
