Are we that stupid???????

Every now and again, a good friend of mine will send something to me that causes me to pause.

This article caused me to pause and to wonder. As I sent to Neil; if only half (50%) of this is true then we are heading to national financial ruin quicker than I have been writing, talking, discussing, listening to, and debating.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Does anyone else (really, cause I don't) believe that our elected officials will really face down and do something about this looming wave of economic ruin?

I believe that the "economic plans" being proposed: "hey, lets give a $250 - $800 rebate to the masses to stimulate the economy" is foolish and very short sighted.

Where will that funding come from?

How can the US economy sustain these expenses?

I am interested in your opinion.

I am confused. I have been hammered with the propaganda that it is

the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us.

I now find that to be RIDICULOUS.
