68VIRGIN, maybe this is just only the name. For me, who concern about our culture. Based on east culture. Better to keep the virginity, especially for girl. Actually, in my religion is forbidden for anyone who "having sex or making love" before married. Now, I just talk about virginity. Maybe difficult to keep virginity recently. With modern living and high technology. In the relationship free sex is not a "public secret". So, we can find many couple "doing sex" very easily. And for the girl, "loosing virginity" is not big mistake. For teenagers allow the boy friend take the virginity. Who can blame them?
Now I will tell about about "the important thing to keep the virginity". based on the east culture side. Who are running well in my region. For us who living in my region usually kept this culture well. But sometimes we found not responsible habit, like "free sex" doing by teenagers. Married is a great moment and this is happen once in our life. So, we want special moment in the night after wedding party. This is kind of honeymoon. As a wife should give "something special", there is a virginity to her husband. It will memorize in our mind. With the great communication and after the first sex activity. The husband known his wife is still virgin or not.
Talking about virginity is not pornography. This is about education, sex education exactly. Becoming our responsibility to give some advice to our daughter, if we as a parents. And our student if we as a teacher.To keep virginity until they married. And not doing free sex until they know the effect, good or bad doing free sex.Please share with me, for anyone who have experience about this topic.

Personally I think virginity is way overrated. I liked the saying on the t-shirt....save a virgin...do me instead. Maybe that's the answer for guys....find someone who's not a virgin and leave those who want to remain virgins alone......and then there's oral sex which many teenagers don't consider to be sex.....though can spread diseases as well. Nice hub...went and read some of your others too.....seem to be a very wise man.
As someone who waited for marriage, I can say waiting is well worth the effort. There has never been a question about faithfulness, and the bedroom has never lacked excitement. Many argue for compatibility -- but that is a lame excuse and a wise person can tell if there is compatibility, without getting in bed. Pleasing one's partner is mostly based on unselfishness.

I think a woman that keep virginity before married is wise woman. Thanks forlan. Although we are from the same culture but have different appreciation about virginity.
Nice hub Prasetio. Made interesting reading. Pre marital sex is really getting to be quite common even in Eastern societies like yours and mine. I think it should be a personal decision for each young man and woman. In today's enlightened and liberated environment, it would be unfair to dictate any rules in such a personal matter.
Virgiity in women was something that was especially prized in times before this, but this has all gone out the window. It would seem that its almost embarassing to be a virgin these days! Nice hub, it really makes you think.
I think it is very important to be careful with your sexuality. Being a nurese I see STDs every day. If both partners waited until marriage, and then never strayed, we would not have any sexually transmitted diseases at all.
Religions around the world teach us these truths, and we
would be wise to obey them, they are by no means out dated. I see all the human suffering that comes from loose sexual
morals and it is not pretty at all!!
Both partners should be virgins and they should stay true to each other.
Furthermore, it is up to the women in a society to uphold the values. Women civilize men. The only real control we have over men is sex, use it wisely!
I don't believe virginity is the issue; the true issue needs to be keeping safe from sexually transmitted diseases. The term virginity is highly over rated; many women break their hymen from tampon use and from being very active in sports; if a guy wants blood during the event, then he should cut himself! Acting as if a woman is a prize because she "bleeds" is ridiculous. For anyone that has been in a relationship that has lasted a very long time, one finds that the act of "sex" begins to diminish and the tenderness and loving touches, kisses and holding each other through the night become what seem most important. Sex feels good. Having sex with someone you love makes it even better. It should not however be the "end all" in a relationship and whether or not a woman is a virgin. Remember, she can't have sex alone. Why don't men realize that? She didn't give it up to herself. I say that abstinence should occur because of safety issues and keeping safe from transmitted diseases. Also, because you want to share yourself with someone who matters; not just any guy that is available to spread his seed. Bringing children into the world that aren't wanted is also an issue; too many kids born and neglected and so many more out there from parents that didn't want them or couldn't keep them. Those are the real issues that should be looked at when talking about abstinence. Thanks for opening up this venue...looks like you have a lot of differing views.

But not all East country have a cultur like in my country. and I appreciate my cultural tradition in my region. And I proud of it. And we have to hold the issue as all you said above sexually transmitted diseases, is the most important. And I don't know that Magnoliazz is a nurse, great job.
The blood drive had to come back twice this year to the schools in palm beach county [South Florida] because 80% of the blood from the HIGH SCHOOL students was HIV positive. That means 25 out of 30 students have an STD on average in this area. This right here alone is a good reason to stay a virgin.

The problem is it has never been fair. The girls were supposed to wait and be nice while the guys could go out and have all of the fun that they want. If we are going to go back to purity it will have to for both sexes.
