Not just another Headache

Most people have heard of migraines and many suffer from them daily. However, some have probably not heard of Silent Migraines. Unlike "regular" migraines, this type of migraine is sometimes not associated with pain.

Symptoms of Silent Migraine may include :

Visual auras - an early sign of a silent migraine in which you may experience flashes of light or zig-zagging lights.

Numbness

Slurred speech

facial pain

forehead pain or neck pain

sensitivity to light, odor or noise

nausea

balance problems

exhaustion

paralysis on one side for a short time

irratability

yawning

Some triggers may include:

Foods such as : onion, nuts, citris fruits, red wine, cheese and chocolate

Foods containing MSG - monosodium glutamate

Environmental changes

Hormonal changes

Stress
