Are we brits stupid, no

non smoking

I can understand it in hospital's and in cafe's and restaraunts but your local pub when there are two room's to sit in why not make one non smoking ? because some do goooder's think we brits are stupid and we don't know what smoking does to us . have we not had it rammed down our throat for long enough, don't the people who work for the pub's know it's bad for them when they apply for the job's behind the bar,who may i ask will pay for this will it be the goverment, I think not will it be the taxpayer's who have to go to work on Sunday's cos it's the only day they can earn a decent day's pay, mind your'e lucky now if you get double time for Sunday's , who will be paying for the lost revenue in tobacco sales and for the 30 million the goverment have given local council's to snoop on pub's to check there is no one smoking, are we becoming America , it makes me wonder .

I don't smoke, before when I go to pubs didn't mind smoking but now after knowing the health effects, I would rather not see that. But if they have two rooms then it is fine.

I totally disagree, the non smoking ban is the best thing that ever happened, talking as a non smoker.

If the non smoking ban means no smoking in any public building etc, that must include Public Houses, having had many a social night out in a pub as a non smoker i can tell you it is not very pleasant to find that, the morning after your clothing stinks from the smell of smoke. Having a smoking room in a pub i think will not solve the problem.

Yes the public houses might loose revenue from the smoking public! but i also believe that it will encourage the non smoking public to frequent their local pub more often.

If you are at work or at play, the last thing you want is an other member of public giving off an obnoxious smell, so ! keep the smokers outside and the non smokers inside.
