Sometimes life and love isn't always about money and how much you can spend on someone you love. It is about spending time with the one you love. Take it from a wise old lady who knows these things.

I found in my past, that things that ment the most to me on a date was time, and attention. Not how much money was spent on me, or how much a man had to show off.

There was a fella who had captured my eyes. I thought about him alot and knew he had his eyes on me to. I also knew he was shy and had no job at the time.

Well...he got around to asking me out. Believe it or not, I was a knock out back then. *smoothes the wrinkles from her apron* I still am. *wink*.

He picked me up at 5:00 in the eve. We went to a place called the lovers look out point. At first I thought he was going to 'bust a mack as you youngsters would say' on me. But, he didn't.

He took my hand and took me to the cliff to look over and beyond. I saw the earth stretch far and wide. It was a most breathtaking scene. There was a nice breeze blowing and my hair blew in the wind behind me. My dress curled and swished.

He pulled two cokes from his car and a hershey chocolate bar and we sat there on a rock talking about the beauty of the day, sharing a hershey and drinking a coke.

We took a walk and he drew a picture of me in the sand. It was extroidinary.

From there, we went to a park where there were others. There were flowers in the park and he went around and picked many different kinds. He wove these flowers together and made me a waist belt. Not one petal was broken. He was thougtful and made sure I was at ease the whole time.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to him. I think back and wonder what life may have been like had I not broke off with him.

You can keep your money in check, because romance and love starts with the heart.
