Art History Books Great Ages Of Man
63Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, The Renassiance
If you are an ART HISTORY buff or have an interest in learning more about it these books by author Lionel Casson and the editors of Time- life Books make for a most interesting reading experience.
Great Ages Of Man, A History of the World's Cultures are a superior source of information. I have four of the series collection, actually three now since I gave one to a friend of mine, which I can borrow if I so desire.
In my collection I have Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, and The Renassaince which I absolutely love flipping through from time to time.
Ancient Egypt teaches us about the Nile, The Gallery Of The Gods Of Egypt, Ancient Sentinels Of The Afterlife, Culture and Society, Politics and Trade, and Periods & Dynasties.
These books are so worth reading. Anubis, the jackel-god of mummification, Bastet, Isis and many more are described in detail of what each of their roles are. The significance of what they represent is majestic to say the least.
In grade school I studied Mythology. It was fascinating. In college I loved ART HISTORY. In my travels I somehow managed to lose these books, but lucky for me I found some of them again. I still search for more of them to complete my set. I often wonder if wherever they ended up are they being read, hopefully they are.

I inherited some beautiful old art books which feature art from all ages, all nations and people. They are a treasured part of my personal, large home library.
I love to visit Art Museums and galleries. In Chicago we have a large number of them, but I have been to many other countries to visit art exhibits.
Cheers!
