It’s been almost 4 years since she last picked up the paint brush... Rhiannon Salisbury is now back in action only this time she has a degree under her belt and is brushing strokes of art combining several other styles to create a new form of contemporary art.
In its rarest form, and perhaps most joyful look, it involves dream like waves of heart throbbing expression, usually marked with a hint of torment but not too much to over power the mind.
“It’s just lets me express myself in more ways than one and it’s so much fun,” says a graceful Rhiannon who is currently in Leeds this week organising her works for an exhibition of what has been nicked named as her most Contemporary Dream Art Grand Slam this year. “Some sessions include a verity of paints styles whilst other sessions tend to lean more to collage art fun.”
It might be that the Blue Mountains results in an expression that would resemble the famous Blue Mountains down the East coast of Australia.
Rather, they prove remarkably colourful, imaginative and very diverse, especially when other features, such as blue seas and her portraits are incorporated.
At her next show I expect to see high bids, however she is very selective about who gets to hang her art above the dining table so bidding is only one step of the process.
Her Contemporary Dream Art Grand Slam this year was inspired by her childhood memories as a teen growing up North London where she followed her passion as a means from escape and expression that was hard to accomplish in a well controlled modern London city.
“I started experimenting all through high school, trying to capture and convey a beauty of our world that I knew thousands of others saw and wanted to bring it into the lives of families and foe who were missing out.”
I remember her once telling me as she was showing her photography set, “I’m always looking for something new, something mildly different, something challenging where I can have free rein.”
Rhiannon has produced many much wanted pieces and due to popular demand is preparing many more in 2008.
“It’s a blast from the past, getting back into art. She told me on the phone whilst she was living in her Leeds residence.
“I think she has an amazing life ahead of her.”
So to do her fellow artists and art critics when told of her Contemporary Dream Art Grand Slam happening later this year who tend to be more welcoming then the general public;
“In my experience the public learn to like it when they see it for themselves...”
Rhiannon is also an amazing photographer as well, and here skill with the camera as taught her well with the paint brush giving her a massive advantage over the masses of struggling artists.
In my opinion it’s an exciting time for the art industry; already causing a stir.

Tom, I am glad to come across this hubpage. You are writing about arts too!
See you at FB
I am so fascinated with people's secret art side. It's funny, I was trying to find some of Keith Richard's paintings that he did because i heard he paints very well. But all google would give me was paintings of him. And has everyone heard of "Val's art Diary"? She is a painter with a very successful youtube show and she does very well for herself, she even had an article about her in the "Wall street journal". And of course that edgy Hollywood painting duo, Sandy Martin and Tim Phoenix who have a weekly youtube show as well. It is very entertaining. Each week is a new subject matter with topics that range in every subject from, philosophy to movies to inner journeys to rock bands like The Doors and just little dramas they cook up and each week they do a new painting that coincides. Their shows and artworks can be seen on their website: www.OneBlackRose.us

Rhiannon,
This looks very expressive but it's hard to see detail.
I've found paintings with raw expression are the best. Keep up the good work, its looking good and have fun!
