Creativity is not new to the Filipinos. Filipinos are known for their ability to make their junk to something useful and artistic. Here is something interesting Filipino creativity that i just seen, witnessed and appreciated its output. This handicraft is made from old tires, yes old tires from all sizes. Thier tools are simply knives of different sizes they sharp it and used it for cutting, then they used nails and hummer to assemble their unique handicraft.
Old Tires can be used in the Philippines in many ways from flower pots to beach wall. But what is the driving force that gives filipinos the interest to make their old car tires to something useful? Others would say poverty, They may say poverty would be the main factor that forced Filipinos to look for something out from junk. Well, it is slightly yes! But the truth is Filipinos are born artistic and skillful and due to poverty Filipinos tend to look for their resources from their backyards.
Most Filipinos wanted to have their own business that need small capital, then imagine having a business with resources from the junk yards. Yes! it will surely a successful business that would produce great gross income with less expenses. Why I would say that Success is sure? Their capital is very small and the resources are easy to find and what is more interesting their products are unique and so durable and beautiful.
With the superb skill of many Filipinos they could create many useful handicrafts from the old tires and they sold it to various tourists and they even accept made to order request. The most sold out tire handicraft is their garbage storage and their complete sala set made from old tires.
