Article ideas might not seem difficult to come by, but when you are writing hundreds, if not thousands of articles, those ideas will start to get a little scarce. Unfortunately, to be successful in article marketing, or bum marketing as some call it, you have to write a lot of articles, or so says the experts. I'm no expert, but I do know that a few articles is not going to cut it.

A List Can Be An Article

Lists are excellent starting points for articles. First, make a list of a particular aspect of your subject or product. It can be a list of advantages of your product, or places where your product can be used, or even reasons why one should not use your product. Then, write a short paragraph for each item on your list. Finally, write a short introduction and your list is now an article.

Don't worry about your list being too long. Just split up your list into smaller article-sized lists and you now have a few articles from just one list.

Once you are done with your list, make another list. In this way, you can actually write quite a few articles from just this technique.

Target Different Audiences

Different people are reading your articles. So, you can have an article that is targeted at men who have problems talking to women. And you can have another article, with the same exact message, directed at men who are constantly in trouble with their wives because they like to flirt with other women. These are 2 different types of people, with different perspectives, concerns and interests. The tone, style and language of each article will be tailored for the specific demographic, although the message conveyed is the same. In this way, you can easily have quite a few different articles based only on a single article or idea.

Write On Similar and Related Topics As Well

Your articles don't always have to be about your product. For example, if you are selling chairs, you don't just have to talk about the different types of chairs, the materials from which chairs are made or how chairs are manufactured. You can talk about something related like sitting posture, or even what type of tables go with which type of chairs. In fact, if you keep doing this, you might just be able to branch out into another area of expertise.

If You Have No More Ideas For Articles...

If you are really hardworking and spend all your waking hours writing articles, one day you will run out of ideas for new articles. When that day comes, I would suggest that you take a one day break as you have obviously been working hard. Go shopping, or watch television, or go and get some needed exercise for a change. I can practically guarantee that by the end of the day, you will be brimming with new article ideas.

Whatever your reason for writing articles, the ability to be able to write many different articles from just one topic is a skill well worth acquiring. I hope you can now see that coming up with dozens or even hundreds of articles on the same topic is really not as challenging as it would appear at first glance. And once you get the hang of the techniques involved, you probably won't have time to pursue all the article ideas that you can generate.
