Article marketing has been and still is the best way of not only building traffic, but a solid source for back links to your site. Marketing your articles brings both visibility and credibility for your niche sites.

Below are some article marketing tips to help get you started down the path of successful article marketing:

Strong Content:

Your content should be concise and to the point on the subject you are covering. Your articles should be factual, informative and make the reader acknowledge you as the authority on the subject of which you are writing.

Variety of Articles:

Without straying far from the scope of your website, that is, the service or product you are marketing, consider a multiple number of angles from which you can approach your topics you write about. A wide variety of articles written around your targeted niche will help to garner a broader audience.

Short and To Point:

While a wide variety is fantastic, wordiness is not. Your articles should be kept short and on topic in order to hold the attention of your readers.

Creative Title:

The title of your article will factor in greatly whether or not a prospective reader will click to look at your article. Be creative with your article titles to make sure your readers are intrigued to click through.

Keywords Research:

Article marketing requires a bit of research of keywords and phrases before writing your articles. The keywords your readers are most likely to type into the search engine of their choice to find the article you have written needs to be targeted in your articles. Make sure not to over do it with keyword placement as your article should still flow and remain natural sounding.

Organization:

A well organized article is friendlier on the reader’s eyes and holds their attention longer. Well organized content with bullet points or numbers when appropriate will better get your point across and makes the article more readable and easy to understand.

Proofread:

Always proofread your articles. Make sure to pay strong attention to spelling and grammatical errors as they will reflect badly on you as the writer and your authoritativeness may suffer from it. When possible, let another person proof read it as well before submitting it. Often other people will pick up on things that you might not see. Always get feedback when possible.

Publishing:

If you have a website centered on the niche you are writing about, post your article to it. This will helps to build the content inventory of the site and also helps build trust and credibility with your site visitors.

Article directories:

Take advantage of as many popular online article directories as possible. Article directories have built in authority and the article can often rank quickly in the search engines. The post popular directories are: www.ezinearticles.com, www.goarticles.com and www.articleezinedirectory.com.

Resource boxes:

Make sure to use the resource box if provided by an article directory. Keep your resource box short and concise and link to the selling or landing page of your choice. Make sure to use researched keyword phrase as anchor text for help in the search engines

Utilize forums:

Utilize social networking of like niches by visiting forums and discussion boards related or closely related to your niche. Post excerpts of your articles and link back to the source. Linking to article directories is less threatening than another competitive website.

Interlink articles:

When at all possible, always interlink your related articles to each other. This will help guide the reader to other topics related to your niche and will increase readership.
