When you are marketing anything on the internet it is critical that you have multiples venues for getting hits to your website. We all submit to search engine listings, maybe buy ad words, blog about it – do anything we can to help ensure real traffic makes it in front of our real website. This can be both time consuming and exasperating. Article submission is nearly always a key component in any marketers repertoire.

Submitting an article does a number of things we like:

1. Brings us potential traffic from the sites we submit to
2. It appeases the Google gods
   
3. The backlinks lend more importance to our websites

more importance = better ranking = more hits = more sales = more $$$

Submitting articles! How fun is it? Not very. Its one of those tedious – but need to get done things we must do.  Having submitted a number of articles to ezine - hubpages, digg, etc. - it can be very time consuming. 

So I tried an article submission program the other night for the first time. I needed to write another article so I could keep practicing writing and I've made a commitment to myself to write one each day. Anyway I decided I would try and market a forex trading system. Forex is highly competitive keyword but I thought I'd give it a shot – heck what could be so different about losing money on marketing this product ;) Given that many people don't seem to know what forex is – I opted to call my article - What's Forex? Not too excited – I write a very dry article – close to somewhere around 250 words – regurgitating every single fact I could recall about it.  A hubpage was soon created and setup the automated submission software and headed to bed.  The following morning – I wake up and look to see how google likes it. The article is ranked 11 out of 3.5 Million articles. It still kinda blows my mind...

This is why you need one and should check out using one. In truth I had already got my coffee and was prepared to hit the next page button around 20 times before seeing my article. Page 2 – first listing – first day – hee hee. If you aren't using something to submit articles for you – you should strongly consider it.   Besides submitting to my normal ezines, etc - it sent the article to like 20 other places.  This means more importance which means.... see formula above.
