Artist Value Packs And Budget Busting Equipment For The Artist
Years have passed buying and using many different art materials, pencils and paints, a good mix of top of the range and budget or value packs have been the best part about building up an artists tool box of best pencils for certain projects and the value packs for practice.
Most times however, value art packs are just as good as the more expensive ranges, manufactured on the cheap but still crafted into very versatile art products, when I'm in a pinch for cash I always choose the value packs, because that option is readily available and it is something that other artists search for too, to build up their art materials quicker aswell as a dispensible way of creating art without worrying about too much expense.
Budget art sets and packs really are a good compliment to your higher priced equipment.

Brush Value Packs
There are so many brush packs available now, especially value or budget ones and of course brushes come in all shapes and sizes and art sets make it ideal to build up your brushes quickly by buying sets of 6 to 12 or more at a time.
Value brushes are often made with synthetic fibres which try to mimic sable horse hair, which are the higher end of the quality brushes that any artist uses for their best work, sometimes a really cheap value pack maybe just average in usability and may only be used for practice work and brush sketching, bt generally on the whole companies that make art materials and products are continuing to make them as professional as possible, so that they are affordable solutions for starving artists out there.

Drawing Pad Value Packs
Even more so now I see in specialist art shops and online places like Amazon, the options of having up to 3 or 4 different sized sketchpads in a pack or value set, this makes it far more better for me and I suppose any other artist who would rather buy more sketch pads for less, instead of the one sketchbook for roughly the same price as the value set.
With value pads and drawing papers, be prepared to be downgraded in surface quality more often as the higher priced cartridge papers are top of the range quality papers that are best used for final sketches and complete masterpieces and the lower end value range have thinner but still workable sketching qualities.

Hi Waynet,
I agree it is nice to buy some quality pieces too. I actually did buy an expensive set of water colored pencils awhile back, and I do enjoy the hue of those a bit more than my economy ones.
I think it could be a case of mixing and matching what works for you in terms of art materials. I find there is a lot more choice than when I was at art school..

I have been given several artist value packs over the years and the supplies are just as good as the more expensive brands. Often it is cheaper to buy colored pencils in the value pack as opposed to purchasing each one separately.
