food.....go for a reception that you can get friends to help with and make.Like veggie trays, fruit and cheese platters, tea sandwiches, cheese straws, mints,peanuts,meatballs.(just say its a retro theme, back in the day thats how it was done)Remember its the brides day. All attention on the bride. not the food.
