How To Get Along – Leo and Pisces

The Lion and The Fish

Leo - Pisces

Pisces is Water and Mutable. Leo is Fire and Fixed. At first review, they appear to have nothing in common. Sometimes great matches are based upon having little in common. A way of filling out the needed qualities in a marriage, or union, or company, or partnership is to have a wide array of aspects to combine so that the entity will be more balanced. The Pisces comes from the inward, the subconscious and that which is below the surface. It has an empathic, sympathetic and cosmic view. It can get lost sometimes in its own workings and murky self-involved depths. Leo, not mutable; ready to stand firm on the plain, dominate the around, present itself proudly to all, and be practically always grinning from ear to ear - could almost be called a pure opposite of the Fish.

How these two could work together is compelling. The Leo sense of royalty loves to be admired and when they are feeling their happiest and grandest, they love to “protect and serve” – a favorite motto of police departments. If you are not a Pisces, you do not know that despite all of their inscrutable and emotional ways, they do feel a sense of “understanding it all”. As the 12^th sun sign, they intuitively know all that makes everyone tick. Whether they actually do or not, that grand sense of inner comprehension gives them a sense of inner “royalty”. They don’t come out and say they are royalty, but their omniscience inner self lets them feel it. So, in a sense, the Leo Royalty goes with the inner Piscean sense of royalty. The Fish naturally admires The Cat. The Leo adores being admired. Because they are not alike, these two can fit together quite well. What other signs see in Leo as braggadocio, Pisces sees as well-placed confidence that can keep danger away. Pisces gets the big picture. They try to do that almost all the time. The big picture behind Leo is that they will put out lots of ego energy grandly doing good and making things happen. Leo looks at Pisces and sees the compassion and the mellow sweetness and the shyness blended with wisdom. Leo would never be that shy, if it were also that wise. This is amazing to Leo, and Leo ends up admiring so many of The Fishes’ qualities just because the Lion does not have them naturally. At this point, it is good to point out that when you see a lack in yourself, your admiration of that quality might mean that you are desirous of learning more about it. This is why “opposites attract”, that age old aphorism that explains so many things.

Positive Postulate: Leo leading the way and Pisces getting the protection, allows for the Fishes’ wisdom to “direct” the relationship. Pisces are often strong with finances and priorities, and Leo, though tending to extravagance, would tend to allow for Fish control, as long as they were both allowed the freedom that they both probably promised each other the first day they knew they had a future.

Romance Recommendation: Pisces loves romance, but especially they love to be romanced. There is a duality in them that sees romance very much as a two way street. Leo’s style is wonderful to observe and marvelous to speculate upon. How can the Cat that loves to be adored also be wonderful in giving in romance? The Cat is smart enough to understand the complexity of the Fish. It will be the challenge of this relationship to surrender to each other’s qualities and make this relationship an artful one.

Conflict Quotient: The Leo can be very impressive in conflict. Ironically, the impressive roar would probably not be needed with Pisces. Knowing it does not need to bring to the battle a deafening snarl, it would have to think creatively and positively about the argument with the Fish. The Fish can be brilliant, inscrutable, hard to figure and very difficult to actually “conquer”. They should work together, not to argue - but to come to resolutions that make conflict unneeded.

Peace Parlay: Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: "Can we be bored together over the long term?" The Fish has so much going on inside it that it can appear to be bored, while they are just reconciling their inner world. Leo can roll over on its back and be smiling about yesterday’s glory. They can enjoy each other in their unique way, whatever their state.

Keep Up The Interest Graph: The fact that they are in their oppositional state will mean that they will never suffer the lack of interest that many might. Pisces is always full of imaginative ideas, and Leo is always ready to try something new. They should not suffer from staleness as long as they care for each other.

Seven Year Itchiness: There are some signs that by their nature are more stable in their love interests and family concerns as time goes on. Others are not. We do not want Pisces to be depressed, lost or feeling as if they have no fun place to go to. Infidelity could be one turn of the fin away when Pisces feels lost. Leo will make sure that Pisces does not feel this way, if it knows best. Pisces can care so deeply and Leo can love so proudly that infidelity would be a very unfortunate happening.
