Rev Wright and his protegee

Rev Otis Moss lll, Dr Wright's successor

Over the Edge

I did listen to Senator Obama's speech today, 3/18/2008. in Philadelphia. He mentioned that the original Constitution was "stained" because the original founders were slave owners. He does mention is that his maternal lineage traces back to the Duvall family, who were slave owners and on his paternal side, the Muslims in Kenya were the original African slave traders. He calls himself an amalgamation of many parts of the the country. I would say that he did succeed in elucidating the complexities of the Afro-American situation.

It was, I must admit, quite a remarkable speech and took a lot of courage. He could simply have disowned the Reverand Dr.Jeremiah Wright, but he rather explained that there may be reasons for his pastor's comments, perhaps a bitter past for example. Now, I can understand that Senator Obama has affection for his pastor, the man who performed his marriage ceremony and baptized his children. However, Senator Obama also calls upon his pastor to recognize that there have been significant changes in America and that he needs to recognize that too.

There is a strong statement to his pastor there; he's not entirely letting him off the hook for his "incendiary statements." It was as if Senator Obama was gently disparaging a parent, who was stuck in the past. Senator Obama suggested that perhaps we have all heard political views from our pastors or ministers that we disagree with. Well that may be true, but I didn't hear it from the pulpit. In fact, my spiritual mentor has never made any political commentary whatsoever and concentrates purely on spirituality.

Senator Obama also claims that we have to solve the racial divisions in our country before we can solve health care issues or other problems in our country without solving the "race" issues". I'm sorry, I don't agree. Seems to me Affirmative Action has done a very good job.

I might say that disowning someone is possibly a very easy thing to do for hypocrites. Another point is that from an objective point of view, how can someone actually call himself a Pastor if he has hate in his heart. I know people personally who have had to "disown" their former pastors or gurus. Malcolm X was one such individual who, after his trip to Islam, distanced himself from Elijah Muhammed, because of his racial stance.

The point is "moot" however, since Dr. Wright has already resigned his pastorship. Now if we examine Dr. Wright's astrology, you will notice that he has the Northern Node (Rahu) in the 12th position to both the Sun and the Moon. This very often leads to a a psychological trait called Obsessive-compulsive behavior.

Actually, Senator Obama "hit the nail on the head" when he said that Rev Wright's mistake was seeing the everything as "static", i.e. that there has been no change over the last half century. I have also rectified his unknown birth time to 9:30 AM (war time). This puts the Moon, the Sun and Mercury in his Libra ascendant. Frequently, when the Sun is in the Ascendant the native is bald and domineering. Dr Wright's personal number is also 28/1 and that is a leadership number. Do I think he is a racist? Yes. And I think he's obsolete.

And, I don't believe that his diatribe has any right to be in the public atmosphere. His successor is Rev. Otis Moss, III, who was hand picked by Dr Wright and who also preaches a rather incendiary sermon. Suprisingly he hails from MLK's Ebenezer Church in Atlanta. I suspect that if MLK were alive, he would disapprove of all the imflammatory sermons, as Dr. King was a student of Mahatma Ghandi and non-violence.

Pastor Bill Keller of Live Prayer has said that every Afro-American pastor he knows has condemned the so-called Black liberation theology, which is a perverse theology originally taught by James Hal Cone that teaches Blacks to liberate themselves from the perceived racism of white people.

No doubt, slavery was a terrible injustice. My grandparents came here because they were expelled from Ireland because of the Potato Famine. My father couldn't enter certain shops beause of "No Irish, No Dogs" signs. Get over it.

Over the edge is just right.

Dr. Wright is a racist incendiary.  So be it.  It's a free country.

However, Barack followed this man's lead for many years, being married by him and having his children baptized by him.

If I had a spiritual advisorfor many years, whom I trusted and believed in, who preached this hate from the pulpit, would you want me for your president?

Good hub.

I was employed as a Deputy Probation Officer in Los Angeles County prior to 1988. While there, I complained about a white supervisor who mistreated black Probation Officers. I took him to court and had him removed from his job. Would you call me a "racist"? As to the wonderful Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, he is a great man willing to speak the truth to power. If you mention the horrible condtions under which people of color are forced to live, you are a racist? Well, it's all about race in America for the past 400 years. We better talk about it like Dr. Wright, or we will never solve the sickness of white racism.I suggest that we have a national network of outpatient psychiatric clinics to cure those who desire to be free of this disease of racial hatred.

I graduated from Roosevelt University in1950. I sought employment at 42 business establishments since I had a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce.

Everyone of them said that "We don't hire Negroes". I not only cursed them, I cursed THE AMERICAN RULERS and AMERICA for this arcane behavior, hatred for the color of a persons' skin. Do these racists recognize that everthing in nature has color. Further, all mankind has RED BLOOD. Do whites have a subconscious hatred of themselves because they all have red blood?

Dear Mr. Wright, I agree with you. However, I have indicated in another posting that people like Dr. Bill Cosby and Dr. Alvin Pouissaint are doing just that.

And I might also add that my father, a 2nd generation Irishman also experienced discrimination when he was growing up. They would hove signs like "No Dogs No Irish allowed." Personally, Mr. Wright, i take my spiritual life very seriously and have never stayed too long in the association of anyone who couldn't understand that, first of all, this is a miserable world and that the only way to deal with it is through an active life of prayer and meditation. Of course, I am not saying that anyone would stand by while people are being persecuted. Just do something about it. I don't think people need to go to church to be roused into a state of hatred. and, lastly, Mr Wright, I have a B.A and a doctorate and have been refused employment many times. Perhaps because i'm not someone's friend. However, i did become an astrologer to try to figure out some of these complicated things. God rules the planets and the planets rule our destiny. The only way to change our destiny is through an active life of meditation and prayer. If something bad happens to you, it is probably because "the chickens came home to roost." in other words, karma. But you're not going to escape that karma by screaming about it. Only God can change that.
