Start with a Telescope

Many aspiring amateur astronomers think they need to buy an expensive telescope to get started. Many people who start this way are overwhelmed by the complexity of the telescope, cannot figure out how to use it, and leave it in a closet gathering dust.

Start small. look for a convenient location with dark skies. Get a red flashlight to preserve night vision. (Cheap red fingernail polish works.) Use a star map and naked eyes to begin learning constellations.

How to select a telescope?

To select a telescope one must keep in mind various aspects, To be able to have an instrument that do not be a toy, and that offer all the possible tools. If buying a telescope for a boy, is not necessary that be one expensive, since upon not knowing if really he likes the observation. On the other hand, a new telescope of less than 20-60 dollars, is alone a toy. If its budget does not give for but, is preferably to buy some binocular. They offered them but satisfactions, and is an instrument for all the life. Then, primarily we will see that stars there are with possibility to be observed, and then we will speak of the different types of telescopes, for finally see which to buy

History

Immemorial times the man has been interested in the stars, we have shown constant cycles and immutability during the short period of the life of the human Being what was an useful tool to determine the periods of abundance for the hunt and the harvesting or of those as the winter in which was required of a preparation for survive to the adverse climatic changes. The practice of these observations is so certain and universal that have been found throughout the planet in all those parts where has inhabited the man. It is deduced then that the astronomy is probably one of the oldest positions being declared all the human cultures. The immutability of the sky, is altered by real changes that the man in their observations and primitive knowledge could not explain, of there was born the idea that in the firmament they inhabited powerful beings that influenced in the destinies of the communities and that possessed human behaviors and therefore they required of adoration to receive their favors or at least to avoid or to mitigate their punishments. This religious component was narrowly related to the study of the stars during centuries to when the technological and scientific advances were clarifying a lot of the phenomena at first done not understand. This separation did not occur peacefully and many of the old astronomers were pursued and courts upon proposing a new organization of the universe. At present these religious factors survive in the modern life as superstitions.
