At Home Wart Removal, Good or Bad?
75At Home Wart Removal
For those that enjoy the power of do it yourself health maintenance, the idea of at home wart removal can be very appealing. I know it was for me when I first became interested. The truth is that most of us have warts, or moles, or both and we can't exactly head out to have surgery every time a skin growth pops up. But we CAN take care of the problem and maintain the beauty of our skin from home... if we're willing to do the work.
A Look Back...
My mom was a natural health freak and I distinctly remember her using a multitude of concotions that she would blend together to get rid of her skin warts. She whipped up some wart removal recipes that smelled verrrry strong but didn't really achieve much results. Part of me thinks she enjoyed the process of creating her wart remover mixtures more than actually ensuring that she was successful... mom's can be weird like that.
Old-Time Wart Removal Mixtures
There are a handful of ingredients that in the past seem to have managed to make their into almost every wart removal paste create that was ever created at home. These include castor oil, baking soda, water, garlic juice, lemon juice, salt, vinegar and all sorts of different non-corrosive acids. I've even heard people say they've put duct tape on their warts!
The problem is that over the years we discovered that most of these at-home remedies didn't really work and if they did they came with a good batch of side effects like skin irritation, accidental burning and even scarring due to incorrect mixing of the chemicals and ingredients included.
Modern Treatments
These days, these types of at home wart removal creations aren't the best way to take care of your warts and moles at home. Thankfully there are a few wart removal products on the market that don't cost a fortune.
First, I should mention that there are many different types of wart removal surgerical treatments that require a physician or other medical professional to perform. These types of treatment have shown to be effective and are safe, but they definitely require a money and time investment and you're definitely going to be leaving your house!
For this post I want to stick to at-home wart removal methods that have kept me out of the doctors office and out of the poor house!
At Home Wart Removal
I'm going to share two methods that I tried, one of which worked well for me, the other did nothing. Hopefully I can spare you the wasted time, money and energy that I originally spent... you can thank me later. :)
The eBook Hustle...
I did my research on the internet and was overwhelmed results after typing "Wart Removal" into a Google search. All of the listings linked to websites that claimed they knew how to get rid of warts in 3 days. I liked the sound of that! I also liked the price (about $40) but I really wasn't sure what I was getting. The website did such a good job of convincing me that I bought their wart removal guide without even seeing it first! (first mistake)
What I got was an ebook, which is a pdf file that told me a story about someone elses struggle with warts and moles and then at the end it told me to put Castor Oil and Baking Soda on my warts and apply it 3 times a day for 3-4 weeks! I was so pissed... I was basically had at that point and had to eat that $40 as 'research'... lol. (ok, this sucked)
Wart Removal Product
My next objective was to make sure that I bought an actual PRODUCT and not another pdf document of an at-home wart removal recipe, so I searched for "Wart Removal Product" this time the results weren't quite as overwhelming but there were still many different wart removers to choose from.
I visited ALL of the sites and read ALL of the case studies and to tell you the truth they all looked pretty good so I did what most of us do...
I went with the CHEAPEST! ;)
Out of the products that I saw the prices ranged from $79 to $180, they all looked about the same so I just went with the $79 one, which actually had the shortest treatment time, 20 minutes, as compared to 3 weeks... and I ordered it online. It came to my house the next day and I was really relieved to see that yes, this was a real product in a real box with real instructions and a real kit and... well you get the idea.
I applied the stuff as it said and I left it on for 20 minutes and sure enough I could feel something working. I washed it off as instructed and left it alone. Within 36 hours the wart turned black and on the 4th day the wart fell off. Is that powerful wart removal or what?
The box said it also worked on moles and skin tags so that's what I'm going to go for next. It only takes 20 minutes to do it so why not right?
Wart Mole Vanish
The product I used is called Wart Mole Vanish and it does exactly what it says it does. How cool is that? It's the best $79 I ever spent. Hope this helps with your wart removal, good luck!

Thanks for the hub. I was actually looking at some ebook about it (I don't know if it was the same one), but this is good information to have!
