Attraction Marketing and Market America, a winning combination. I've been involved with Market America for 3 years now. I've had small successes. I've had people join my opportunity and I have some steady customers.

I have done everything that my up-line told me to do. I made my names list, talked to people whenever I went out, called people, left my business cards all over, etc. I did it all. I even did some things were are out of my comfort zone. I thought that if I kept at it, eventually it would get more comfortable. It didn't.

The first time I saw Market America's business plan, I was so excited. I thought everybody I knew would get into this company! After seeing it presented a few times, I knew this was the company for me!

Market America has an amazing line of health and nutrition. They have alternative cleaning products. These are environmentally safe and non-toxic. If you are looking to go green, check them out. They have something like 500 of their own products.

Then, they have 2000 other stores that are affiliated with them. Whenever we, as distributors, shop on-line, at one of these other stores through our own "web portal" we can earn commissions from them as well. Tell me, who wouldn't like to earn commissions shopping, say, from, Target, Macy's, Wal-Mart, Sears, Home Depot? The list is endless. We have to shop any way. Why not do it through our own web site and earn commissions at the same time.

It only gets better. When ever ANY ONE else shops from the stores through our "web portal", we earn commissions from their purchase as well. So each and every purchase made this way earns us money. There is a Market America credit card too. Earn commission points every time that is used by myself or anyone else in my down line. Now you can earn points toward free product or get money back when you buy Market America products. Free stuff, how awesome is that?

So, can you just imagine how exciting this sounded to me? I was absolutely sure that every one I knew would jump right in this with me. How could they not? This was the best thing ever. I had never seen anything that had so much potential and could make me dream about an amazing future.

I will let you in on a secret now.

Not every body wanted to jump right into my business with me. Shocking, I know!! As a matter of fact, no one did for almost a year. I was completely shocked. What was wrong with all my friends, my family, my associates? Didn't they know that this was a great opportunity?

This is when I began to learn more about this industry. There has been a history of a 97% failure rate. It turns out that most of the people I contacted knew someone, some where, at some time, who had tried "one of those things" and had either been burned or had completely failed to grow it into the amazing business that they had gotten started for in the first place.

But, when I start something, I stick with it. I was determine to make this happen. I did everything I was told, no matter how uncomfortable. I stepped out of my comfort zone for this and I was told that if I continued doing that, I couldn't help but be successful. So I did. I spent 2 and 1/2 years doing it this way, and yes, I got some results, but they came hard and with much time consumption.

At the end of these 2 and1/2 years I said, "no more, I can not keep this up". I was a wreck. This is not my personality type at all. But, I thought if I stuck with it, it would become more comfortable. It didn't!!! I quit prospecting. Yes, I stayed in the business, but just so I could get the products at my cost. I had a few customers who like the products too, so I earn a little in retail.But, when it came to prospecting, I quit.

This, thank God, is not the end of my story. I have found another way to grow a successful network marketing business, using the Internet.

Attraction marketing is about learning another way to prospect. A way that most people are comfortable doing, thus, duplicatable. Something we are all looking for. I guess we can hope to find someone more out going them ourselves, but the odds are not good. Most people are not comfortable prospecting in the old style.
