By learning Spanish

Audio Spanish lessons are one of the easiest methods to learn Spanish or to review your language skills. With audio Spanish lessons you can learn or refresh your Spanish language skills while you do other stuff, something which is extremely appealing to those with a restricted amount of free time.

I have personally listened to audio Spanish language lessons on cassettes, CDs and now, of course as MP3 files on my iPod while working around the gardens and house and while commuting to work on the subway. Since you can load audio Spanish lessons as MP3 files onto a moble player, it's easy to study your audio Spanish lessons anywhere you choose to be .

Using audio Spanish lessons allows you to do more things at once, so you can be learning Spanish while you do nearly any other standard task. You can learn the Spanish language while exercising at the gym, or just about anything else you like.

Of course, not all audio Spanish lessons for sale are similarly helpful. I've attempted some that do no more than rattle off a catalog of Spanish language phrases or words with no sort of context. When removed from their common place in conversational language, this is next to pointless. This is the approach taken by many of the cheaper Spanish programs that don't really help you to learn the language, in truth, most of these programs actually make it seem a lot harder to learn Spanish than it truly is. There are many better options than these rote memorization type programs.

Two of the better programs to come out recently are Rocket Spanish and Learning Spanish Like Crazy. Each is available on CD or can be downloaded from the Internet for immediate access. Both use modern South American conversational Spanish as their foundation, rather than being primarily based on the style of formal Spanish that Cervantes might have spoken.

Besides the audio parts of the program, Rocket Spanish includes interactive language games to assist scholars in learning the Spanish language. These interactive games include MegaVerbs, MegaAudio, and MegaVocab.

Rocket Spanish and Learning Spanish Like Crazy both take the type of approach utilized with immersion classes, getting the person instantly into conversational Spanish. Instead of making you memorize lists of words and phrases first, the scholar right away starts using the Spanish language as it is actually spoken in South America, learning grammar and vocabulary as they go.

Rosetta Stone is another popular series of language learning software which makes a good way to learn a new language interactively, building a mastery of the language over time. However, the Rosetta Stone system will not let you begin using a new language in conversation fast. Mixed with audio Spanish lessons, however, that get you into conversational Spanish right from the beginning, it could be a strong system for learning the Spanish language very quickly, acquiring conversational skills, vocabulary, and a grasp of the ins and outs of the language concurrently.

Because of the recognition that Learning Spanish Like Crazy and Rocket Spanish have accomplished, there are a rising number of the older language learning programs that are trying to mimic a more interactive approach to learning. The student of Spanish is well advised to keep away from the cheaper foreign language instructional programs -- they generally tend to either use the rote memorization approach or are poor quality imitations of Rosetta Stone's language program, in all cases, less than effective and unquestionably not pleasant to use.

The good thing about the three programs discussed above is they address the reading of Spanish in addition to speaking skills. The Pimsleur Spanish series also has good audio Spanish lessons, but it is notably low in addressing reading talents. However, augmented with further materials, it offers a good intro to conversational Spanish.
