I really dislike Web Promotion. I dislike it more than you do, I always have, and I know I always will.

Web promotion is getting links and traffic to sites. That's it. You can build the best looking site or a million of them, but without the proper web promotion, you'll never see any money.

Most website promotion tactics have one thing in common - they are trying to rank high in search engines results. In the old days, I would submit my sites to hundreds of link directories and every search on the planet. It would work like magic until the day when search engines changed their listing algorithms.

Then the next big thing was to Blog and Ping your sites as often as you could. It was one of the most powerful web promotion systems you could use. I could easily get all my pages indexed in a couple of hours and see my sites rank high in search engines very easily.

But search algorithms changed again, and as a result it is now very difficult to rank one's websites on search engines, based on Blogging and Pinging.

I then turned to Article submission. Though it is still a very effective traffic with generating traffic, it is extremely time consuming.

I have literally spent thousands of dollars on SEO tools and would sometimes hire an SEO expert. I used to spend hours and hours doing Search Engine Optimization both on-site and off-site. I would see some traffic now and then but the numberswere not something i am proud of or something I could live with.  I knew if I could just get everything done that I set out to do.  The numbers would change drastically for the better and I would be much happier. But I was at the mercy of the search engines and its constantly changing search algorithms and was also spending more time and more money than I could earn! A recipe for financial disaster.
