What is Automotive Social Networking
Social networking is nothing new. The Internet was founded basically as a way for people to share information. So we can thank Al Gore for making it easier for people to share ideas, information and opinons easily.
The Automobile Industry has historically been slow adopters to change and now they are taking notice to social networking as a marketing medium. Unfortunaly most are missing the true value of engaging potential customers versus throwing a pitch of them evey step of the way. This is just not dealers and manufacturerers to consumer, but also vendors to the dealers they serivce.
While both of the networks mentioned here have different perosnalities and rules of engagement they both offer some decent netowrking opportunities. The space they share is wide open and many are trying to enter it now. These two in my opinion have the best chance of making headway in the industry as it relates to dealers and vendors helping each other to expand their reach.

Very nice hub and information. Social networkiing has been around for awhile but today the advanced tools and sites avaiable make much more user friendly and exciting. The sky is the limit when it comes to socializing, and I agree, most companies have not yet grasped the concept and still try to focus on the big sale rather than connnecting with people first.
Thanks for the great info,
Mike Witt
