Over 2000 Positions slashed
The AVON Lady has been competing with the onset of AVON stores in MALLs for the last couple of years while manufacturers of AVON products has been moving to low-cost countries to increase their bottom lines and align thiemselves with "international sales". Operations in 100 countries will be restructured to eliminate layers of management and outsource work to cheap labor countries.
AVON announced it's multi-year restructuring plan in November 2004 with estimate costs over $500 million. Avon sells beauty products globally and directly to women via 5 million plus representatives.

Actually, they have been overseas for some years now -- currently they are leaveing some countries in search of "cheaper labor"
Thats shocking, They just cannot leave things alone.
AVON also has mall stores like the one at the Gallery in DeKalb County, GA

While the Avon corporation may be downsizing, your personal Avon organization does not have to. If you are interested in becoming an Avon rep, or already an Avon rep, please don't be discouraged by news of downsizing and/or outsourcing. No matter how many Avon stores pop up in a local mall, nothing can be a subsititute for our human desire for convenience. We live in a "microwave" society where many of us want instant gratification and super-duper convenience. We also live in an economic time where the cost of fuel for our cars is at a record high. Instead of seeing Avon mall stores and high gas prices as set-backs to your business, why not use them to your advantage?
I have successfully been working a very simple method for creating and maintaining a steady Avon client base in spite of the current economic challenges that face many Avon reps. I have posted an introduction to this method on my Office Avon Lady hub page.
If you decide to visit my page, please feel free to post a comment and ask any questions about my methods. As enough interest is generated, I will also be offering tips on how to make your Office Avon Lady business a smashing success no matter what the state of our U.S. economy!
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Hang in there.
