PERSPECTIVE
52PERSPECTIVE
You are only what you are in your own mind,
In my mind you are someone quite different,
Your version of yourself is not important,
You should try to be more like who I think you are,
The conflict comes in your illusion of power over yourself,
When you accept yourself as I see you, we will both be much happier.

When you read this do you see yourself as the speaker or the listener?
This is a two person conversation -
The listener is not being the person that the speaker wants to see.
Are their people that never see who you are?
People that no matter how you grow and change only see you one way?
For me, and most of us, it was my mom, I was a bad driver dispite twenty years of no accidents or tickets. Her perspective of me had not changed from when I was young and wild.
On the other hand how do we see those around us?
Is it possible that others around us have grown, but we only see who we think they are, or perhaps who they were.
Is it possible that if you tell them how proud you are of them that it will feel like we have lost some power. Do you feel superior over others that you see as inferior.
Acknowleding that others have grown, improved, changed, might make it seem like we are less powerful.
If you feel as the one being talked to - learn to accept the limitation of growth that others will see in you - but still keep growing and changing - they have no power over you unless you let them.
If you feel as the one doing the talking - watch those around you change, recognize positive changes in others, and oddly enough they will think more highly of you for being so smart.
When we limit others in any way - we only limit ourselves.
Luck and Love
