I recently paid a visit to my accountant

Some background here before I get into the outcome of my visit. The purpose of my visit was to show my accountant the Bizpack program by United First Financial, created for use by Small Businesses everywhere.

I’ve been with my accountant since 1993. He is primarily involved in tax preparation as well as a bit of payroll work for some of his clients. He was doing taxes long before I became a client. He’s been in our small town forever.

He does business a lot like he always has, word of mouth with some newspaper ads here and there. His business has grown over the years but not at the rate it should have. For the past few years or so he has operated a small real estate business along with his tax office. It turns a profit but has not seen satisfactory growth.

I should also say that his computer knowledge is limited to his tax programs. Think about what that means as far as marketing.

To prevent his writing from becoming way too long let’s jump into how Bizpack relates to my visit.

He saved the $299 sign up fee

I have helped him get signed up this week saving the $299 sign-up fee. With that done we’re off to explore the possibilities. Just a few of the things we discussed are;

  1. Left instructions on how to start building his list now for existing tax clients.
  2. Explained how to build his list for Real Estate clients.
  3. Discussed creation of monthly newsletters for both businesses
  4. Discussed adding a little tax information in the Real Estate newsletter and a little Real Estate information in the tax newsletter.
  5. We’ve got the real estate agents gathering every business card they can get their hands on.
  6. I’ve got him writing down the name of every person he knows, not as easy as you may think.

For brevity’s sake I will stop here. We discussed many other possibilities.

Many tax professionals and especially small town tax professionals do a really good business for the first 4 months of the year. The rest of the year can be a struggle. There are many years that see the profits from the first 4 months being used to survive the following 8 months. Then the cycle begins all over again.

Bizpack will end those unprofitable 8 months and here’s how;

Bizpack’s Content Manager will bring all his current and potential clients into one manageable format, all in one place for consistent contact and teaching using Attraction Marketing techniques. These techniques will be used to build his client base for each of his businesses. The Drip Email system will be the primary tool used to accomplish this through use of email marketing campaigns sometimes referred to as “email blasts.” Contact by email will be scheduled weeks in advance to go to the client base and potential customers as well.

The Video Prospecting tool will be used primarily on the Real Estate side. He is a Real Estate Broker specializing in Farm and Ranch properties. I can see him making videos of each property. These videos will be included in the emails being sent by Bizpack. He will be able to see who watched the video as well as how much of the video was viewed. You can imagine the possibilities here.

The UDeduct component of Bizpack will be of special interest to him since his accountancy specializes in tax preparation. Once he sees what the UDeduct is capable of he will be referring Bizpack to all his small business owner clients. UDeduct is the tool that finds up to 100 legal and ethical tax deductions and strategies available to small and home based business. Many tax professionals aren’t aware of these deductions. The result: Decreased tax debt-increased profits and discretionary income. Since he is a tax preparer this part of Bizpack is really going to be fun for him.

The Marketing tools in Bizpack will help get his message out at a fraction of his current advertising cost. Plus, it will reach a targeted audience which will build his client base faster.

The GoToMeeting component of Bizpack will be used once I get him comfortable with using his computer for something other than his tax program. It’s easy to see the many possibilities.

For me, it will be an opportunity to put Bizpack into action not only with my own business but to actually do it with a totally different kind of business. I am really looking forward to the launch of Bizpack at the middle of this month.

I plan to keep you posted on our progress.

A very nice portrayal of the powerful Bizpack software components adapted to a client with somewhat limited online skills. Great sales process on your part, keep up the good work.

I love this story because it shows how if you are proactive and go out and talk with professionals, they will listen to you and see the benefits of this awesome package. It's great that he signed up now and avoided that $299 fee that will come later.
