JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

The Lord is the light of the world. Salvation is light. Healing is light. Salvation is the Word. Healing comes from the Word. Sickness is darkness. When light comes, the darkness will vanish. Where the Word comes, faith comes. Where faith is there is the healing. When faith comes, there is no room for healing. The darkness cannot destroy light. Disease cannot destroy health. Those are the laws of the spirit. The spirit is stronger than material things. Material things are under the spiritual laws, since material things are products of Spirit.

The blind man from birth was in front of Jesus.

Jesus said: John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

The mud was made from the saliva and dust. What interesting medicine. It was something from Him and something from the earth.

In that mud there was nothing special. Ones Jesus used the word, another time he used his hands, and this time he used mud. Actually we are the dirt. We are made from dirt, we eat dirt, and we live from dirt. In all cases of healing this medicine was a point of contact. All about is to release the faith.

When we were religious we do not see or experience healings since it needed faith and we did not know about it. For some of us it took an effort to believe. We built our religion on works and our morality, even though morality can come out of faith as well. Many of us were trained in deeds and good works. It gave credit and glory to us and not to God. Those are all natural things. But faith gives glory to God. Faith comes but hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Without faith we cannot be saved and without faith healing is impossible.

The blind man did not see until he went and washed himself in the pool. Now it was up to him to act. Acting is the evidence of belief not the initiator of belief. Until he acted Jesus believed for Him.

When the blind man received his sight, he did not recognize Jesus, when he met him. When he left to wash himself he still was blind. Washing eyes was not the test of his faith, but the evidence, or result of his faith.

If the blind man did not go and follow the Word by acting he would remain blind. Sometimes we lay hands on the sick. Sometime a person goes home and gets healed. It is not rare. I am writing this on purpose, since many when they do not see the result immediately doubt and think they are not healed. He who walks by faith and not by sight knows that he is healed whether or not he feels healed.

Again a priority: first comes the Word, then faith, action and then the result follows. The action is the proof that one believes. Faith is released by the word (which is also form of action) and is confirmed by action. Nobody acts if he does not believe. He stays sick. Other times we anoint with oil but mostly we speak the Word to a disease. The disease has to go. Or we say “be healed.” If the Lord says to us to use another word we do what He says. We are obedient.

The blind man went even though he did not understand. He went to the pool and washed himself and received sight. Hallelujah. Jesus does not want people to walk in darkness. He wants for all to see. It is gift to walk in the light.

Our problem today is we are reading not a hearing generation. We have to speak and hear the Word to gain faith.

For believers the Lord wants to believe in the entire Word in an uncompromised fashion without wavering. The blind man was not to be able to receive the new birth. The man went to the pool and washed himself, his eyes. The Lord wants us to be dipped entirely into the water of the Word, being baptized into the word. Not just a little sprinkle—he wants us immersed. He wants us to receive the entire Word, understand it, believe on it and act on it. We need to be and live as a part of His WORD.

Footnotes: Division of Bible to Chapters was dated and done by Steven Langston, Canterbury archbishop in London, England who died 1228.

Division to verses was done 1551 by Robert Stephanus in Paris, which we have today. The verses were not in original language. Entire Bible is written in capitol letters.
