2 to 3 Months Before the Party

Budget: This is the most important of them all. You need to be wise in setting your budget for the baby shower as the baby coming very soon. Having a big and lavish party is fantastic but you need to be careful with the budget involve with it. You also have to consider the days after having your bundle of joy.

Date, Time & Theme: All this information should be gathered before anything else. The host need to decide what and who are involve with the party. If you want to have a big one, better to have it during Saturday night or Sunday. If you want to have it outside, better to have it in a weekend and lunchtime. This is good  for this summer season. The theme also affects the settings and the mood of the baby shower party.

Guest List: Decide the numbers of your guests, if it is couple, family or exclusive for women. This will help to choose the venue and the menu.

Venue (home, restaurant, park, hotel): This will depend the time, theme and guests attire.  Need to decide if it is formal/catered or informal/buffet/potluck. The budget will come up to this section. This will depend on how much do you allocate for the venue and the menu of this special baby shower celebration.

Menu & Cake: Plan the menu ahead of time. If you will prefer catering, you should inform them about the guests' quantity. You should also decide your personal menu preferences. Decide the cake design and browse the different supplier.

Invitation: DIY invitation will save you much money and having much time to do it is perfect.  Browsing and deciding the baby shower invites design is not that simple, better to prepare it ahead of time. If you want to order, better to do it in this time frame and don't forget to include the exact ADDRESS of the venue.

Books & Etiquette: Best to read baby shower books and etiquette to gather all information about the special event; Games, decorations, favors, prizes for the games,etc. These are the things that will make your party special and  being remembered.

3 Weeks to 1 Month Before the Party

• Book the venue
• Mail the invitations
• Order the Cake
• Finalize the venue, menu & number of guests
• Book for any entertainers, special vendors or surprises
• Decide and start buying or ordering for your decorations, games, favors, prizes, confetti, centerpieces, table name cards, welcome sign, etc.. If you are decided to have it on the hotel and in a package deal, no need to worry about any utensils, decorations or name cards. Most of the packages are complete. If you’re having at home, this is the perfect time to start purchasing all the materials needed for decorations, banners, utensils, plates, napkins, confetti, streamers, etc.
• Choose and decide the different baby shower games that make everyone laugh and won’t stop talking about your baby shower party after. Also, make it sure that all guests can participate the different game routine.
• Start buying the prizes for the games
• As a mom-to-be, start shopping for party dress and shoes. You need to be shine; you are the star of the celebration.
• Start preparing all the party accessories such as table, chairs and all serving accessories. If you have friends available, you can ask some of their time to help.

1 Week before the Event

• RSVP from guests should be done at this time. If not, try to follow up calls if they can attend the baby shower.
• Prepare the name tags, centerpieces, decorations, favors, prizes.
• Place order for balloons, gift baskets, diaper cake or any centerpieces you might love to have.
• Finalize the music background, menu, utensils, emcee, and all the things needed to make your baby shower unforgettable.
• Follow up and finalize everything from utensils to entertainers.
• Video and still camera should be final at this time and it is working 100%.  These will give your baby shower memories for years to come.

2  Days Before the Event

• Review everything and make some calls to all the people involve if it is not confirmed.
• Wrap all the prizes for the baby shower games.

A Day before the Party

• Prepare and pamper yourself
• Start placing all the table and chairs
• Prepare all the decorations
• Relax and sleep early

Special Day

• In the morning, start decorating all over the place
• Decorate all the tables and chairs
• Place the name tags, centerpieces, etc.
• Be ready for all the delivery from different vendors
• Baby shower favors, games, prizes are also in their respective places
• Go to the parlor and prepare yourself
• Enjoy and have FUN for the entire event
