Why do babies LOVE sign language from the Baby Signs Institute?  It helps them to communicate to their parents sooner than if they did not sign.  We teach them words with a flashcard (for a visual )then model the sign. Practice, practice, practice!  Patience is the key to success .... and before you know it your baby will be signing words like eat, hot, drink, more, thank you, and dog!

Reading to babies is a great way to practice signing and it keeps your baby motivated. Babies like to hear stories about their favorite things like dogs, balls, parks, mom, dad, grandma  etc,   Signing while reading also helps your  baby be more of a participant not just a listener. As the two of you go through the story you and your baby can point out events or characters asking questions and signing as you go along.

Babies love to learn signs that help them communicate about all their daily routines like mealtime,bathtime, bedtime, at the park, and their PETS.  You can choose as many signs as you feel comfortable with.  Some babies just learn a few (our mealtime program is the most popular) and some learn all of the signs.  Our programs are tailored for you to choose what is best for your family and our mission is very simple:  we just want to create a way for babies to communicate their wants, need and feeling to their parents so they won't have to resort to a tantrum.  You know if your baby is HAPPY, you are HAPPY too!
