Baby Wipes Restore Old Furniture!

It may be common knowledge that baby wipes do a great job cleaning everyday jobs like dusting and cleaning crayon marks. Did you know they work wonders on old furniture?

While cleaning in my son’s room, I quickly grabbed a baby wipe to do some dusting. As I began rubbing at some of the darker stains on this chair, I noticed the dark black residue was coming off. I didn’t think much of it, but made a mental note to get a proper cleaner to get the old gunk off the chair later.

Wipes Work Better Than Furniture Restoring Products

After a trip to the home improvement store, I came back with a product designed to take old residue off furniture. I used the new cleaner, but was disappointed to see the dark stains weren’t coming off, even with repeated scrubbing. So I went back to the baby wipes and was so impressed with the results, I just had to take some photos to share with you.

There is no end to the usefulness of baby wipes. While I can’t speak for other brands, I was using Huggies Natural Care in this case. They are the only thing I have found that will get milk stains off my floor and now, look at this, they restore old furniture!

See the Difference!

Three Other Great Uses for Baby Wipes

Warning: yucky stuff!

  1. Getting baby boogers and dried snot off my dark brown faux suede couch. My son loves to run at the couch and bury his face in it. His nose runs incessantly when his teeth are coming in, resulting in some pretty nasty stains. You can’t even tell he was there after I clean with the wipes and they work very quickly.
  2. Getting breast milk stains off anything. Honestly, I don’t know how it gets on the floor and the table! Regular cleaners can’t seem to break it down.
  3. Getting deodorant stains off my clothes. It never fails that I get some deodorant on my shirt when I’m in a hurry to get out the door. Rubbing the stain with a towel doesn’t always work but the baby wipes do.
