Back to the Past!!
54The more developed we become, the more it is the likelihood of us getting bored with this kind of life. We have become so mechanised that we have lost touch with the real us and the true inside of us. Our dreams and our life aims are not so very different from the others and what most of us truly yearn for is a life spent among bigger cars, more money, bigger house, more this and more that. It never seems to end.
Good for those who want these kind of things. For those few who yearn for a different life and want to walk a different path; this post is for them. If this bores you...stop reading immediately.
Maybe we could edit our life a little. Throw all those useless stuff we buy. Buy less of them. Go on a vacation. Not to those usual places with 4/5 star hotel bookings but somewhere without electricity, without any basic amenities. Maybe we could go back to the life that we have forgotten. The kind of life filled with peace and harmony. Maybe we could learn to really live our life. Among the wild, among the natural surroundings. Maybe we could listen to the birds sing, feel the breeze of the wind, imagine as the stars brighten the sky, see the trees.
Maybe we could start farming, milk cows, do wood cutting, fish in the lakes and rivers, swim naked in the oceans-stark naked, learn to knead bread, learn pottery, learn carpentry, sleep without overhead roof, climb trees, pick fruits, make a fire, build a raft, collect rainwater, take the sheep to graze, make natural colours, wash clothes on the riverbank, make wine, roll on the grass, roast a chicken, write poems sitting under a tree, hear folklores, celebrate festivals in very classy styles, repair shoes, cycle through the plains and mountains, take a boat into the sea, collect sea-shells, play with tadpoles, collect honey, dig mud, feed animals, make sand castles, make metal sculptures, place a wind mill, carry logs, play with catapults, meditate on top of a hill, make farm compost, make water canals, swing on a hammock, swing on a cotton made swing, dry clothes on a tree, ride a horse, massage a horse, pull water from a well, throw stones in a lake as it bounces off the surface.....kill time.
I hope some of you found these things interesting. Please add your own version of things that you would like to do.
