* Nolo.com; this is a site that specializes in the law and this is also useful if your checking the background of landlords and managers
* Credit reports; the FTC or Federal Trade Commission has their own site that provides the credit reports of many people. The credit reports come from the major reporting bureaus Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax.
* Product recalls; if you're dealing with companies that produce a specific product, you can check the site of the US commission that is in charge in ensuring the safety of various products. See if the products have been recalled for some reason. You can start your search by typing the type of product, the company name, recall date, and description of the product.
