Bad Guys and Dating
61
There is a long time myth that has circulated for dating circles since, well, the beginning of dating thousands of years ago. That myth is the notion that the bad guy always gets the girl. Honestly, the bad guy does not always get the girl because some of those "bad traits" can be a real turnoff to a lot of women. However, there are scores of men that do actually get women with the bad boy approach. Why is this? What do they have to offer and what is there approach? A greater understanding of how bad guys acts shows the reason they can be successful. Granted, such behavior might not be the best traits to duplicate.
Bad guys are certainly not the best guys on the planet for a woman to date but they do possess a number of seemingly attractive traits. These traits sometimes appear a little more exciting than what a nice guy type would deliver. Here are a few of those traits:
Bad guys have a strong tendency to portray a sense of confidence. Whether this confidence is legitimate or it is an act remains to be seen. However, from the onset the true nature of the person is not completely revealed. All that appears is the supreme sense of confidence that makes the individual so attractive. Hence, the bad guy can attract a lot of women in this manner.
There is something interesting about bad guys and this can be very attractive. What makes the man so attractive? What is his story? Why is he such a bad guy? These questions can all stir a sense of mystery. Mystery is extremely interesting and this further allows it to delve into the realm of attractive. Sure the interest will eventually disappear when the true negatives of the person are revealed. However, it can work as an attraction hook early on. Think of it like a well done plus size chemise ad. Create interest and you can sell the product.
Bad guys can also be rather challenging. They are not always out chasing dates nor are they really spending a lot of lonely weekends alone. This adds to the challenge required to get their attention. And, of course, a challenge can be quite attractive and this will add to the bad guy appeal.
There is also a sense of adventure with a bad guy. After all, are we not constantly bombarded with images of anti-heroes in popular culture amidst all those commercials for plus size corsets? This all adds to the attractiveness of an adventurous bad guy. And, of course, that means the bad guys will be landing a number of dates.
Now, here is the kicker for those that may be somewhat miffed at these bad guys. There are no traits these guys have that cannot be also embodied by decent guys as well. You could present these same traits and do so without being an outlaw of sorts.
