Best Beaches in Bahamas include Paradise Beach, Cable Beach, Cabbage Beach, Grand Bahamas beaches, Love Beach, Western Esplanade, Caves Beach, Xanadu Beach, Tahiti Beach, Pink Sands Beach, Ten Bay Beach, Saddle Cay Beach, Stocking Island Beach and Cat Island beaches just to name a few.

Beaches are not for sun tanning, but instead fun activities including Water-skiing, windsurfing, diving, fishing, jet-ski, sailing, snorkeling, diving, parasailing, eating at seaside restaurants, refreshments at beach bars, local entertainment music and various rentals.

Since there are so many beaches in the Bahamas, you can find beaches with lots of activities and people or secluded with no facilities. Most of these beaches have white powdery sand, however, you can find a pink sand beach called "Pink Sand Beach" which is one of the most beautiful of the beaches in the world.

The best time to visit the Bahamas is from November to April when temperatures average a 24°C (75°F). Travelling before November could run you into the hurricane season. Summers are hot and humid, however you may find some good deals in the off-season.

Here is a general description of some of the major Bahamas Beaches and pictures of most of Bahamas named beaches. We could have described some of these beaches, however we believe a picture is worth a thousand words. This is especially true on Bahamas beaches.

NASSAU/PARADISE ISLAND

Cabbage Beach- Located on the northern side of Paradise Island, this 3 kilometer stretch of white powdery sand and turquoise/emerald water is second to none on the island. Guests from the adjacent hotels and resorts come to enjoy water-skiing, jet-skiing, parasailing, and other water sports. To get away from the crowds and resorts, take a 10 minute walk east along to beach and you should find some seclusion. In addition, along the east side is Snorkelers Cove where you can see numerous colorful fish.

Other beaches include: Delaporte Beach, Goodman's Bay, Montague Beach, Orange Hill Beach, Sandyport Beach, Saunders Beach and Western Esplanade. To see many of these beaches, view the pictures below.

HARBOUR ISLAND

Pink Sand Beach - This 3 mile long pink sand beach gets colour from tiny microscopic shelled animals called Foraminifera and mixed with white sand gives the sand a color pink. This beach is not officially a secluded beach, but compared to some of the other popular beaches, we can call it semi-secluded. You get a touch of seclusion, however you are not too far away from the cities. The blue waters off the shores of this island have amazing coral reefs protecting the shoreline from dangerous waves allowing good swimming areas.

Other beaches on Harbour Island include: Cape Eleuthera Resort Beach, The Beach at Pineapple Fields, James Cistern Beach, The Cove Eleuthera Beach, Cotton Bay Estates & Villas, Preacher’s Beach, French Leave Beach, Lighthouse Beach, Surfer's Beach, Ten Bay Beach, Authur's Beach, Deep Creek Beach, Gauldings Cay Beach, Holiday Beach, North Palmetto Point Beach, Paradise Beach, South Palmetto Point Beach, Windemer Island Beach and Winding Bay Beach.
