Our family learned that in Africa some people eat baked bananas. It is a pretty simple recipe to make and you can adjust the cooking time depending on how soft you want your bananas to be.

Ingredients:

bananas

lemon juice

brown sugar

heavy cream

crushed peanuts

Recipe:

Preheat oven for 350 degrees.

Place bananas (still in their skins) on pan.

Bake for 20 minutes (less if you want firmer bananas)

Peel bananas and put on serving dish.

Sprinkle with lemon juice to keep fresh.

Sprinkle with brown sugar.

Pour heavy cream on top.

Top with crushed peanuts.

If you want you could simply put whipped cream and chocolate syrup on top of the baked bananas and none of the other ingredients but that, of course, is not the African version.
