Bakugan Toys

Bakugan Game Insanity

Field: open! Gate Card: SET! Bakugan: Brawl!!!

Bakugan Toys have been sweeping the nation in popularity. Children love this game and stores can't even keep them in stock. Right now you can't go anywhere without hearing about Bakugan toys. Once upon a time this started as an Anime cartoon, but now it has turned into a collectible gaming craze that is internationally super popular!

It's the Marbles of the 21st Century!

Part of the appeal with this game is the large number of different Bakugan toys that you can get. There's so many varieties, and each has different strengths and weaknesses. Let's outline a few of the different kind of Bakugans you could buy, and we will talk about the strategies you could use when playing them!

Spin Bakugan

Spin Bakugan are a pretty cool new kind of toy recently released. They open up a whole new avenue for playing. You never know what you will get with these Bakugan since they will randomly spin and reveal an ever changing G power! You wind these guys up and release them into the field, once they pop open they will spin wildly and stop on a G power. Will it be a super powerful 700 G power, or will it be a low 300? You never know, but you have a lot of chances to really dominate the game with these guys!

The element of randomness that this adds makes the game even more exciting. It is good to have ability cards in your hands like "Runo's throw" that lets you reroll your Bakugan if you don't like how the spin ended up.

Check out these cool Dual Sided Bakugan!

Dual Sided Bakugan

With Dual sided Bakugan you have another similar element of randomness. These bakugan have two sides, with different G powers sometimes even two different attributes! Whichever side pops open on top is the side you play with. As always, it's good to have a reversal card or reroll card if you don't like the outcome of the rolls. There's nothing cooler than rolling your dual sided bakugan and getting a 720 G power to play with!

As far as we know Preyas is the only Bakugan toy to have this ability so far. But we're sure more will be coming soon. Preyas is a chameleon like Bakugan that can change his attribute at will! He can change from Aquos to Darkus in the blink of an eye. His evolved forms have the same attribute changing abilities and can change from Haos to Pyrus. It's good to have some cards that make good use of different Bakugan combinations. Marucho does this very well.

Bakuneon Bakugan

With the new Series 2 Bakugan just released, Bakuneon Bakugan have hit the stores. These guys are very powerful and more evolved forms of their previous versions. They also come in a cool neon color too! There are new ability cards that come with them, and these open all new avenues of strategies you could use. More details, more G power, bigger sizes, and tons of variety, the Bakuneon are a welcome addition to his game!

Many of the new legendary Bakugan have G Powers of over 500! Some rare ones have as much as 700+ G power. So the players who want to dominate the field will have to have some of these new S2 Bakuneons in their arsenal.

Trap Bakugan

Of course, what would a Bakugan Toy overview be without the ever famous new Trap Bakugan!

These new Bakugan Balls will change how the game is played for sure! Each trap comes with the special ball and gate card and ability card. You don't roll these guys, you throw them down onto the field and watch them spring into action in tons of different ways. The will provide G power boosts and attribute changes that can sweep away the competition! Your opponents will never see it coming. So far there are only a few different kinds of traps available, but many MANY more are rumored to be released very soon.

When playing a Trap Bakugan you first have to make sure it matches the attribute of the gate card. If it does then you can throw it down to activate it's power. You can only use one trap per game, and after it goes into your used pile. Study your trap well, since it can make a big difference in how you play the game.

Where to get good deals on Bakugan

Since when you buy the toys at the store you can't see who, what, or how powerful the Bakugan is tell you buy it, this can lead to a lot of disappointment and wasted money. We really recommend you look at Ebay where you can hand select your lineup. We use ebay for getting all kinds of cheap toys, and if you look around you can find some awesome deals!

Beware of fake Bakugan though. If it looks too good to be true (i.e. 9999999 G Power Bakugan) it probably is!

I love Bakugan toys. They remind me of Crossfire, that sweet game as a kid.
