I need Bakugan Starter Packs today!

My kids came home from school again with another toy that they had to have. They were begging me to take them to the store to buy Bakugan.

At first I couldn't even pronounce the word. I kept having to ask. Once I saw the toy and played a few games, I actually started to like it. I even watched a few episodes of the animated series that the game is based on. I remember seeing it before, but I never thought much of it.

The toys have a unique concept of combining the game of marbles with a trading card game. It is a lot of fun and easy to play.

Bakugan toys have become one of the top toys that kids want over recent months. These toys come from the same popular Japanese animated TV series called "Bakugan Battle Brawlers", which is about a group of kids that battle in duels using cards and monsters from another dimension called Vestroia in order to save the universe.

The toys were created through a joint effort between Sega Games and Spin Master, and follow the concept of the cartoon very closely. The playing cards feature the same characters from the TV show similar to the toys, that pop open to reveal a battle brawler when rolled out onto the field over the gate cards.

Like its predecessors Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, it is also a collectible card game that brings back the concept of marbles. Each player takes a turn rolling their battle brawlers out onto the field in hopes that it will stand on a gate card. While the cards are collectible, it is the transforming monster toys that are used in the game that everyone likes. There are so many collectible battle brawlers, and more to be released in the future as the popularity of the game increases.

The instructions are simple to get, and very easy for any kid to understand if they are familiar with the cartoon. The players take turns laying down gate cards at the beginning, and then try to roll one of their Bakugan out onto the playing field in an attempt to land it on a gate card. If their sphere doesn't land on a card then it becomes the other players turn. When one player is able to land two of his battle brawlers on the same card, then the card is taken into that player's possession. If each player gets one of his battle brawler on the same card then they have to battle for it. The players need to turn over the card, and add together the G points on the gate card to the G points of each sphere and determine who wins by following the instructions on the card. The winner takes possession of the gate card and the Bakugan on it. The player that is able to take control of three gate cards first is the winner of the match.

The game is easy to play, and also a lot of fun. Different rule variations can be used as well. There are several other accessories that can be purchases to add to the Bakugan games experience, such as the battle arena and the ball shooters. The battle arena comes with some rules that are a little bit different, but any rule variations added to the game are ok as long as both players agree on them.
