Be a bluff master with Balderdash!

Balderdash is a funny board game that is quite popular in pubs and beer parlors as a drinking game. The game is started by rolling the dice and the person who has the highest roll will be the first dasher. He should pull out a "definition card" from the given box and the die is rolled once again to find which of the five listed words shall be used first.

The categories normally contain actual content about people, initials, laughable laws, words and movies, which will be portrayed in a far fetched manner. Players create bogus answers and they are read along with the right answer for others to find out the real one! Correct guessing of answers and fooling other players carry points.

If the dice is rolled for six then the dasher can chose the word himself. Next the dasher writes the definition as given in the card on a separate paper to be followed by all other players and the aim is to bring out a definition that is closest to the original. In case a player is not sure of the answer he can offer a fictitious definition that sounds credible and that could be passed off as its meaning.

All the definitions are verified by the dasher to see if there is any definition that matches with the original. The player who has come with the correct answer is entitled for three points and if there are more winning entries, the round is abandoned. Then all the definitions are read out for the players to make a note of the answer they believe is right. If they guess it right, they get two points and for those player who wrongly chooses the fake definition will be awarded one point and in case there are no winners the dasher gets three points. For every point, the players move their tokens in the board by one position and the dasher then pass it over to another player and the player who reaches the last square of the board is the winner.
