It’s all caused by bandwidth shaping.One day, you want to download your favorite TV series. So, you go to Mininova to download that torrent. Then, you start download. But after 1 hour, the speed is 2 kB/s. Argghh…!

That’s what happens nowadays. Bandwidth shaping practice already started a little by little by ISPs in the whole world. You maybe lucky if your ISP not starting it yet. But don’t be too happy because it will be spread slowly to the whole world. So, if we live in US, we will get trouble to download our favorite anime. Ouch…! Before you blaming your ISP, let’s take a view why all of these happen.

• Film industries can’t make much money as they should. Most new films can be watched the next day that films shown in the cinema. This has become a nightmare for film producer. Can’t you imagine how much they loss. Some film still make to box-office although this happen to them. But, do you know how many good films out there can’t even get their cost back. I dare to say, torrent cause this.

• Anime and manga industries will collapse. Anime and manga from Japan have been well known in this world. All anime aired in Japan can be downloaded tomorrow after subtitled by fansub. Manga will be the fastest release since its size is small and easier work to be done than anime. We can see that the fansub and scanlation teams leave a message to their fans to buy the original dvds and mangas after it released in your region. But, how many of you do that? ‘Why do we need to buy it since we already know its story’, ‘It’s better for me to buy new HD to save all of these things’ and ‘Why should I buy it since I already finished much times to download it’. These are what most of us think.
  

• Distribution of porn. This is the most abuse of internet. Even 8 years old kid can easily find porn stuffs buy typing ‘porn’ in search engine.

• Distribution of keygen/crack. It’s pathetic for developer side and irresponsible for keygen/crack distributor. I believe some developers doing this to down their competitors’ sales. For users, just think how hard developers to develop their software. There are too many alternative out there to substitute that ‘one-complete-pack’ software you used with crack. The disadvantages, of course there will be no one complete pack.

• No more singers will sing for us anymore. Actually, there is no need for torrent to do this but since torrent used by most of internet user, this in. Just imagine how no more Beyonce, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis, Akon and Lady Gaga. Our life sure will be gloomy.

• Global warming and inefficient usage. This is my opinion. With billions of computers switch on on the whole time over the world, why should not this included?

I’m not blaming torrent users since I’m torrent user too before. But we should realize that there is something good for bandwidth shaping than we just ‘argghhh’ because can’t download what we shouldn’t anymore.
