Bangkok Guest Friendly Hotel Review: Ibis Nana Hotel

The newest GF hotel near Nana Entertainment Plaza
Guest friendly hotels in Bangkok are some of the most popular hotel choices to stay in while enjoying the red light districts. One of the newest guest friendly hotels is found in the red light district of Nana, located on Sukhumvit Soi4 (Nanatai). It's a nice budget hotel called the Ibis Nana that opened early 2009.
If you've never heard of the Ibis hotel name, well you're not the first. It's part of a popular hotel chain called Accor with 5 star properties under their control. The Ibis is a budget hotel brand with properties in China (especially Shanghai), Mexico and India with future developments worldwide.
The Ibis Nana Hotel is located just a short 5 minute walk south of Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP), a small building with a cluster of popular go go bars and beer bars. Just right across the street from NEP is the Nana Hotel's parking lot, a popular spot and hangout for freelance ladies of the night.
Strategically you can see why Ibis Nana Hotel is and will be such a popular guest friendly hotel in the area.
And if you've read my articles and reviews you'll know why I always recommend travelers to take advantage of special deals and rates new hotels always provide to entice guest to stay there. New hotels in Bangkok always have promotional rates and extras just to get the word out about their location.
And this is the reason why I'm reviewing the Ibis Nana Hotel. We all know how many hotels in the NEP area has. Many have seen a lot of action and it'll be nice to stay in some place fresh and different.

Ibis Nana Hotel Review
There are 200 hundred rooms in the Ibis Nana Hotel so it's a fairly decent sized property. The taxi driver shouldn't have a hard time finding the Ibis even though it's new because unlike many other hotel's you can easily see the building as well as the Ibis hotel sign clearly.
The Ibis only has standard guest rooms available, either with 2 single beds or 1 double bed. So don't expect any presidential suites or even a deluxe room type. That's not to say that their standard guest rooms are not comfortable. In fact the standard rooms are satisfactory enough for what you've come to Bangkok's red light districts to do, which is to put it lightly "Entertain your lady friend."
All of their rooms are roughly about 20 square meters. Decent in size but not huge. It helps that they have a flat screen television so they wouldn't need a big table to cramp up the space. So instead of a narrow space between the foot of the bed and the television you have adequate space to walk past as well as pull large luggage inside the room. The bathrooms are a bit cramp, but who lives in the bathroom anyone. It comes equipped nice stand up shower and glass shower partitions.
There are many places to just hang out and people watch near the Ibis Nana such as pool bars, beer bars and a small coyote bar/club a few minutes north. This is a very strategic location for red light district activities. NEP is not far to walk to and you can get to Soi Cowboy red light district within 15 minutes by walking or you can hop on the BTS Sky Train at the Nana Station, it only cost 15THB. Or you can get to Patpong red light district for 30THB a 10 minute ride.
I have a feeling Ibis Nana Hotel will become quite a popular hotel in the area and certainly it's fresh clean rooms will be a welcome addition to the popular red light district of Nana.

It's called 'Cabbages and Condoms' quite a good restaurant I have to admit.

A friend from Singapore highly recommended The Nana. Alas when I got to town it was all booked up - but I stayed somewhere nearby - can't remember the name but a great deal.
I looooove Bangkok! We hung out in patpong and everywhere else. There is some restaurant with the name 'cabbage' in it - I think - and they give out free condoms.
Great people too!
