Get the Help You Need

During these challenging times where all we hear about is the economic crisis, many are having to consider bankruptcy as the only option.  Unfortunately all of the bailouts aren't helping to bailout individuals who are struggling.  I've put together a few ideas and resources to help you if this is an option you are needing to consider.

If you are contemplating bankruptcy you may have already done the soul searching and now you're wondering how to move forward.   One option for free legal help is to turn to your local Legal Aid office.  However, these organizations are particularly overtaxed and require many weeks of red-tape before a decision is made about being able to take on your case.

If your need is much more immediate, you may save yourself some stress by hiring a lawyer.  If you use your personal network to get a good recommendation that may be best.  However, if this isn't business you want to share with everyone you know you can even turn to sites like www.craigslist.org where lawyers a plenty are advertising their services.    Fees range from $300-$2500 on average.  It may be best to meet with a few different people and follow your gut about who will be able to help you the best.

Following are some links that may help you as you begin your research on a subject that could change your life:
