Barack Obama: Will African-Americans Vote For Him In 2012?
77In 2008 between 90-95 percent of African-American voters voted for Barack Obama. Was the reason color, economic or anything else, that doesn’t matter at this date? The question is; will the same percentage of these voters pull the lever for him again?
At this time I must tell you that I am a Caucasian male writing this article. This is my personal opinion of how I believe the African-American community will vote. In 2008 the United States had its first serious contender for the highest elected office in our country that was African-American. It is quite easy to understand if people voted for him because of his skin color, this was a unique situation.
THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN’
The novelty of anything new decreases over time, and now there is a record the President will have to run on. What does this mean to any voter? If you lost your job, your house or anything else and see the administration as a reason for your loss, you will think twice before voting for the same candidate.
With higher unemployment and increased foreclosures on homes, this has to affect every part of society. This article focuses on the African-American community because the election of Barack Obama was closer to their hearts than anyone else’s. I understand the Presidency of the United States is something that should be taken to heart by all Americans, but this was especially important to the African-American community.
WHAT IF YOU WERE HIT HARD BY OBAMA’S PRESIDENCY?
I (and this is my opinion) believe the average (economically speaking) African-American will outwardly insist they are going to vote for Obama again. When in the voting booth the lever for the opposition party may be pulled, or the person may just not vote. Of course they will tell all close to them; they voted for Obama.
One does not want to be labeled a traitor! This happens with every ethnic group, so it is expected. The big concern for Obama is; how many African-Americans will do this? We start with a question that cannot be answered; how many African-Americans will be out of work or will have lost their homes? It always starts with the basics, it builds from there.
Why would a person that has experienced this, vote for the same candidate? We can expand upon that with all the African-Americans that had a business; I did say HAD. Then there are all that want to expand their businesses, there are over 800,000 African-American business owners. http://www.census.gov/Press-Release/www/2001/cb01-54.html
I can’t believe these people would vote for a man that has proven he is not a capitalist.
WE ALL KNOW HOW EVERYONE AT ACORN WILL VOTE
Considering all the voter fraud ACORN is being investigated for, there just may be a smaller amount of this in the next election. That would lead to fewer votes for the incumbent President. Although I’m sure all ACORN workers will cast their votes, they had better. If not I’m sure it would be bye-bye.
After the scandals powered by FOX NEWS, we have all seen how fast ACORN is to throw their employees under the bus. It would be nice to see a follow-up story to find out where these people ended up.
I’LL BET I GET CALLED A RACIST OR SOMETHING ELSE FOR THIS
To me it seems that most African-Americans in politics or in the teaching profession are equivalent to their Caucasian counter parts in their political views. J.C. Watts is the leading exception. http://www.nndb.com/people/991/000049844/
Educated business people that are African-American will vote differently than the over 90 percent did in 2008. So will those that have suffered major loses, jobs and houses. Most African-Americans will vote for Obama again, but his 90% will diminish. The majority of African-Americans will still vote as they did before, but I believe many believe in what America is supposed to stand for.
Those wanting something for nothing (entitlements) do not realize they are actually communists, like Obama. Though they will say they are against communism.
As Charles Krauthammer of The New York Times wrote after Obama was elected. “Don’t listen to what he says, watch what he does.” Obama is not “the brother of America.”

Harvey, I've seen significant numbers of African Americans at tea party demonstrations. I don't think they will be voting for Obama or any progressive candidates.
I also don't think Colin Powell will endorse Obama again. The novelty should have worn off by now.
Quite simply, yes they will. Sure there will be blacks who by 2012 have come to the conclusion that Obama is bad for America, but on the whole he will receive signifiant support.
Jib,
No chance of impeachment, too many Dems in the Senate. Color may become more colorless. That's the way libs say they want it, lets see how happy they are when they get it.
Tom,
I hope you are correct. The lower economic class will always love him, something for nothing. The African-American middle class is the hope. They lose like anyone else.
Pop,
They will vote for Obama unless they get things taken away, that is the lower economic class. If not, they will be like glue. Wise up middle class!
impeachment is not the only way a federal officer can be removed. "Quo Warranto" (by whose authority) has been used before and is the specific legal method for removing a "usurper", i.e., one who does not fulfill the eligibility requirements of that federal office
Anyone interested in this ma read the archives of Leo Donofrio,Esq http://naturalborncitizen.wordpress.com
Of course he did get votes based on his skin color.
It was obvious more in the Primaries, Democrat vs Democrat..
In the Presidential election it was not the est 95 percent who voted for him so much as it was the large number of blacks in the turnout.. That made the 95 percent a huge number. In any general election 89 percent of all blacks vote for the democrat, so the percentage was not as big of an issue as the number of blacks voting.
In the Primary
Dem vs Dem he still got about 85 percent of the Black vote, and that shows the racist vote was working in his favor.
vraj,
I browsed your article,I have to go along with Federal Judge Andrew Napolitano, seen on FOX NEWS. He said that a suit must be brought that contains a certain context, then it must go through the court system one court at a time. You need all Judges to agree with you (or there is an appeal)before it gets to the Supreme Court. This may take years.
Great One,
I understand the color situation, it went as expected. But next time the percentage will change, unless the Republican puts his foot in his mouth.
I hope he doesn't get past the primary, he's done nothing to help. The economy may get better, but not due to him.
Oh LORD I pray Jiberish is right! And AMEN Harvey - AMEN! And good for you for shedding light on a very touchy topic! You courageous soul you!
I have to agree that the percentages will change depending on how much is taken away from the middle class and how little was received by the poor class; and I am talking about the population in general. I think there is a "class" warfare being spewed out of this administration.
cjv,
There is no chance of impeachment, the Senate would never do that to him.
Do not praise me, it's only an opinion. I would say the same thing at an NAACP meeting.
I heard GM is going to build a new plant, too bad it's going to be in Deleware. I'm sure the workers in Deleware don't need to be fully trained like the people of Michigan to build cars.
Obama must be saying; 17% unemployment, big deal, Joe's people need the work.
Do you think this will anger any African-Americans in Michigan? Both African-Americans in Deleware are thrilled.
ehern,
That's how you get people to side with you, it's us against them. Too bad Obama is one of them. Obama is after the larger crowd and those guilty of having more. Why be guilty for your success, Obama isn't.
Funny,
I wish we could impeach BO but a democrat congress won't.
And the blacks, and the idiots from New York, Michigan and California will vote him back in.
Keep on hubbing!
eovery,
I don't expect him to win in 2012. Things will start to turn next week when two Republican's will become Governors.
How about in 2012 99% of eligible population will vote, and 99.5% of them will vote for Obama? ;)
Misha,
G-D help us! We are turning into a Soviet Union, you didn't care for that.

Well you opened a can of worms, brew plenty of coffee. I think by 2012 Obama will be impeached, saving those who voted for him because of color, from a tough decision.
