Barcelo Maya Palace Hotel Riviera Maya

Barcelo Maya Palace Information
I was lucky to visit the Barcelo Maya Palace Hotel in Mexico's Riviera Maya and I wanted to share my experience with you.
The Barcelo Maya Palace is actually in an area of the Riviera Maya called Xpu-Ha, an idyllic stretch of Beach surrounded by an emerald green jungle like you have never seen before.
An approach to the property you'll be blown away I guarantee. The architecture has a colonial Mexican feel to it, although it still manages to fit right in with its jungle setting. However once inside it's all about elegance, sophistication and a great setting for a luxurious vacation.
The Barcelo Maya Palace Hotel is an all inclusive property, where pretty much everything really is included. There are a vast array of activities to enjoy, from windsurfing and hobie cats to a gym volley ball and a relaxing spa.
Gym, steam bath, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath.
Kids Club (for children ages 4-8 and 9-12).
Mini golf and training golf course - equipment included without charge.
Tennis (day or night, equipment included).
Snorkeling gear (1 hour per day).
Kayaks.
Windsurf.
Diving (one lesson free per week in swimming pool).
Aqua-aerobics in the pool.
Volleyball.
Ping-pong.
Darts.
Sufish or Aquafinn sailing boats.
I love good food and at the hotel you'll find a great selection of restaurants, eateries and bars. My favorite has to be the gourmet French restaurants, but they all served really good food and the drinks were of a very good quality - you can't beat a margarita by the pool on a hot summer's day that's for sure!
Brasserie Palace: Gourmet French Cuisine.
Carey Lobby Bar: Lobby Bar
Caribe: Restaurant
Coco: Pool Bar.
Coral Grill: Grilled steaks, poultry and fish.
El Mirador: International buffer cuisine
La Hacienda: Mexican Cuisine
Rodizio: Brazilian
Ok so you're enjoying the pool, the activities and the cuisine but what about when the sun goes down. Well the Barcelo Maya Palace has stunning guestrooms as well, that really did exceed expectations, and I'm pretty fussy when it comes to where I sleep. There are two types of room, the standard and the club premium, all are decorated beautifully, using soft terracotta tones and have a great selection of amenities. The beds were really comfortable and they all have a balcony or terrace, perfect for relaxing with an evening drink and watching the sun set.
