Shopping thrifty is essential   in these hard economic times. Why pay full price when you can pay the discount prices. Now is the time to get those new shoes, that new watch, even the new sofa you have always wanted.

Look around for some the best bargains at your local consignment shops. Buy those brand name items for less than half the full retail price. I found a great dress that normally goes for over $300 for $25 at the thrift store.

My home is decorated with little trinkets I have found at my local thrift store. People who come to my home do not even know I only paid $5.00 dollars for that lovely piece. I paid $17 for a four person patio table at the thrift store, which normally retails for over $200 dollars.

I am a bargain shopper now. We all love it when we find a great deal. Tools, kitchen supplies, clothing. Furniture you name it will be looking for it at the thrift stores. I have no shame walking into a thrift store and buying brand name products for the same price as a cup of coffee.

The majority of my formal work clothes have come from thrift stores. No one even knows I only paid $5.00 for those Kenneth Cole pants that retail for over $80.00. Or the Ann Taylor lined slacks that normally retailed at $90 dollars.

The best find was my cook ware from Pampered Chef. Along with my Revere cookware. Just like brand new. Certain things I will not buy at a thrift store and there are good reasons for that. However, if I need cleaning rags, I go to the thrift store and buy old used towels.

Not only am I saving money these days. I am also helping a good charity and a good cause.  My friends now ask me to help them Bargin shop. I find them treasures too.
