Basement Mold Cleaning

You have mold in your basement siply because it is usually dark, humid, and many times under ground level. Being underground level means there is a good chance mold spores and water can penetrate inside. What you will need to do is always find the source of the problem. This is the first step in basement mold cleaning and mold removal. Do not play with the mold until you know where it is coming from.

Where To Find Basement Mold?

Basement mold is usualy found behind panels, under carpeting, and around perimeter walls. Most basement mold cleaning projects are devastating because the mold and mildew has become so prevalent. Mold and mildew if not corrected will continuously grow.

Bleach Is Not Your Best Basement Mold Cleaning Solution

Bleach is usually the first answer most will give for basment problems. Let me be frank, this is not the solution. Bleach may remove the mold, but in about one week the mold and mildew will come back. Also, basement mold cleaning is also removing mildew and staining from wood and carpeting. If you are going to bleach on the wood and careting you will damage the material. Try natural cleaning products and your basement can be saved.

The other option you have is to use a wire brush to soften the surfaces of where the mold is growing. For example, if you have mold on your basement wood pilings, you should use a wire brush and loosen up the surface of the wood. Since the mold stains are usually so deep in the wood, you can use a wire brush. It is also recommended to use a natural cleaning product that can destroy the DNA of mold and will not be harmful. The last option you want to consider is how you will prevent the black mold in the basement. This is where an encapsulate will be your best ally. Let me explain...

Basement Mold and Encapsulating Surfaces

Basement mold cleaning is worthless unless you have a protection from future mildew growth. In order to do this simply use a natural cleaning product, one which will create a barrier to protect the surface of the problem.

By using the encapsulate your basement mold cleaning project will be safe for future problems. Learn more about basement mold cleaning and how to protect your basement from mold and keep ot from coming back.

Please go ahead... and use bleach..

Then after a week when it comes back let's have a look at the problem. If you ever had a mold remediation project, you will never see bleach. Ever wonder why?

Because if they don't pass, they don't get paid.

Bleach temporarily cleans, and the spores come back. It does not change the DNA makeup of the mold. But then again, $2.00 sounds like a deal.
