You are lucky enough to be called for an interview. Today, with the very competition in applying to any job available on the market, you should be lucky enough to be called for an interview. For this, you need to prepare yourself to answer this interview killer question which the interviewer might ask you.

How do your rate yourself?

The interviewer is observing every applicant especially if the waiting area is part of the office where every employee is passing by. You might not know it but the interviewer if not the Boss is one of those who are passing the area. This is why you need to be observant too, to notice the things particularly your behavior while waiting for your turn. If in any case the interviewer might find you relax because you are confident for the interview, you might be ask to answer this killer question.

In a rate of 1 to 10, what rate will you give yourself? You should be aware that on your answer will be a point if you will be hired or not. Most often, this type of question is asked if the interviewer likes you to dump it out of the list. This is why you should be smart enough to answer this question.

Obviously, you cannot rate yourself because you will be biased on the rate. Only those persons who have seen your performance could give the proper rating of your performance base on the categories provided. You should let the interviewer see the situation or explain about this fact.

Do not immediately give your own ratings because, for sure, you will be asked for a follow up question in which you are no longer have the capacity to answer. If this happens, you will be anymore included in the list of qualified applicant to be deliberated for final interview and or the additional employee to be hired.
