You have your dream in mind for what you want your bathroom interior to look like. If you have gotten that far, you have more done than you realize. For many, choosing what colors and items to have, and even just the décor theme, is a never-ending nightmare. Once you know, you can then start to shop. When shopping for things for your bathroom, you do have to think differently than when you would be shopping for other rooms of your house. Not only do you want to think about looks, you have to take longevity into account.
What is different about the bathroom interior as apposed to other rooms in your house is that you are going to be using a lot of water in there. In fact, of all the rooms in your home, this is the one that was designed for the sole purpose of doing things with water. That means your bathroom interior must stand up to all that water can do. You may know about caulking and making sure there are no drips, but you also have to think about splashes and mist that come when you wash your hands or take a shower. The first consideration for your bathroom interior is the type of paint that you use. You have probably used flat or matte, or even satin, in the rest of your home, that that won’t work in the bathroom. The flatter finishes will be destroyed by water, especially around the shower and sink. Opt for gloss or semi gloss to this reason. You should also make sure your flooring is made for the bathroom. You can get stone, but make sure it has a finish on it that protects it from prolonged exposure to water. When thinking about your bathroom interior, you should also think about mirrors that resist steam. If you can’t find any that are affordable, you can always use the old shaving cream trick. I’m not sure why it works, but it does. You rub cream all over the mirror, and then wipe it off carefully. The next time you take a shower, your mirror should remain clear. This might work for about a week before you have to do it again. You can also find other things for the bathroom interior that are a water resistant that are going to last longer and end up looking better in the long run.PrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub
